  What gets me is these JW really believe they were doing God's work.Wonder what they are saying at KH around the world.They are probably saying "How wonderful they are to die in Jehovahs name,is your faith that strong?" Makes me sick.I feel sorry for them...they were majorly duped!

  I became one at about age 4. I remember one Easter and one Christmas.My mother had 4 hungry children and a husband that was always out at the bars.MY Mother felt overwhelmed with being alone with us day and night.She welcomed the chance to finally get to speak with adults.She pretty much felt hopeless with her life (we were dirt poor)so the thought of paradise gave her hope.

  BTW..My mom has a genuis IQ..so just because people join this cult ,does'nt mean they are idiots.

  Can someone help please

  i was wondering if you could help me.. im not a jw but im trying to help a friend who is.. recently he announced to all his friends that he's a jw and many of.

  them ran a mile and havnt talked to him since, the rest of us, had either .

  guessed or have stuck by him because we're his friends and his religion.

  What this board has done...

  what this board has done..............for me.. i've only dropped in intermittently over the past month or so - and thought maybe now would be an appropriate time to point out some of the things i have gleaned from being here over the past year.. for several years after being df'd i still had that nagging thought - "what if it is the truth...what if i just have a bad heart...what if my kids die at armageddon because of me, what if, what if...".

  i was still in chains.

  as you may or may not be aware the poster 'mikepence' has asked people to donate to enable him (and his family?

  ) to travel to the silentlambs march and to file charges against their alleged abuser.

  because he seemed to suddenly become very opposed to the idea of attending the march, i and some others asked him what i thought were simple and reasonable questions.

  with working on client's projects and playing on this board i finally squished in some time in to finish my site.

  it isn't anything fancy with animations and shockwave magic shooting all over the place like i have done in the past.

  it is simple, clean, and straight forward boring html.. the work is just a small portion of what i have done over the last year or so.

  Family members of molested

  who here has had a family member molested by a jw?.

  my neice was molested by her jw step father.the elders went to court in his behalf.the congergation banned together and sent an avalanche of letters to the court, stateing that he was a good clean christian.the judge believed them over my 11 year old neice.he was sent back to live with her.. this was at an english speaking congergation in salinas california.if anyone knows an elder named deitrick(not sure of the spelling)beware!!

  My heart goes out to all of you.Before Dateline I had no clue that this was going on world wide.When I saw Dateline,I was in shock for days..weeks.I for so long thought that it was just our family.
  About 10 years before my niece was molested,my mom and I went to a congergation in Atascadero California.
  I really enjoyed it a first,i had two great girlfriends.For the first time I felt like i fit in.This new family moved in from another state.The father was an elder and he had 5 sons.
  I had a crush on one of sons,I was about 15 or 16.One day he came over my house and asked if i wanted to take a walk at the park.We get to the park,I was thinking he was going to give me an innocent kiss.Instead he said , I have something to show you.He unzipped his pants and showed me.I was in shock!I went running home and told my mom.She then called the elders and told them.They said they would take care of it.
  Next time we went to the meeting everyone one was looking at me strange.When we got home,one of my friends called and said.Is it true that you moved here from somewhere else because you had made sexual advances to boys at your other congergation?That was a BOLD FACE LIE!!!
  I was labeled a slut.My whole world came crashing down on me.I did'nt do anything!
  I think about how horrible this made me feel...then I think of the ones that were actually molested and not listend to ...how totally awful it must feel for them.
  My mom is so wonderful to me,she made arrangements for me to go live in Arizona, where we used to live.(She had to stay for her career)It breaks my heart even more when i hear some of your stories that your parents did'nt help you.That was the last straw for mom and I ,we never went to another kh.Little did we know the nightmare was to continue 10 years later with my niece.
  My heart breaks everytime i hear one of these stories.
