Notice the police officers kept saying "in my opinion" and "i think", these officers spoke there own views and where not speaking officially, hence for legal matters they would have to say "i think blah blah blah the wittnesses should do blah blah blah" people that never watched the program carefully would have noticed that the actual cases were also personal cases, they had no actual evidence to half the things they were saying, and most of these things were from a personal viewpoint. The only part the officers could prove to is that they could not get info out of the sect concerning the issue. The police are always free to carry out there investigations within the law guidlines, and there is no way the sect would break any goverment law in stoping these investigations.

Do you actually believe everything aired on the panorama program? This was a very one sided view of the situation, just because jw's didnt comment on the there side of the accusations doesnt mean that everything that is said by the so called victims is true, for example how do you know that the girl was put up front the accused and then asked to repeat the aligations? Also a mother on the program claimed that she was threatened that if she spoke to the police concerning the matter she would be asked to leave her faith, i know many jw's and i know that if a member of the sect was to speak to the police about an alleged crime they would not be shunned or looked down upon and they would definately not be dismissed/dissfellowshiped all that was crap. The sect never at any stage stops someone or threatens someone with expulsion if they were to go to the authorities about crimes being committed inside the sect. And i have seen this happen before and the person was doubted by the elders but even so they never once stopped her from going to the local authorities. Anyways just be carefull to consider all the facts (, again i repeat there are cases in the religion im not saying there isnt, im just sayin that its being blow out of proportion here.

What part was not true? I already agreed that yes there is a problem on the way the society deal with these accusations, im just tryin to point out that a large number of cases reported are false but still noted onto the database, meaning that even if there was 20k names on it, its most likely that not even half these were true cases. People are saying that there are 20 odd thousand paedo's in the religion i just wanted to stress that that number even if was a correct amount which is doubtfull, would not just contain Paedophiles but also those that are suspected/accused, meaning the actual number of paedophiles on the database is most like very low, hence is why im saying this is being made into a much bigger issue than it actually is. People should sujest ways of correcting the problem not attacking it and making it a bigger problem than it already is.

Basically what i was trying to say was that this database which is meant to contain 23,720 (according to your sources :P (unreliable)) contains not only actual paedophiles in it but also anyone that has been even accused of being a paedophiles. As when an act is reported to the elders and even if there is no evidence or witnesses however serious the elders take it this will still be notited in the database, meaning that many of the names in the database will be false accusations made by people like you just before leaving the sect just to stir up more trouble, making it harder for those that have an actual real case harder to identify. Im not saying there isnt a problem with paedophiles in the wtbs but i just think its been blown completely out of proportion by people's like you.

The database contains not only paedophiles but also suspected or accused paedophiles ;which means that the number could be huge, specially when n00bs like you report crap when your just about to be dashed out the religion for some other reason. Wanna try and make it sound worse then it actually is, over half of the names in this database are prolly just ones reported out of spite or hate of the wittnesses!
