  my wife and i grew up as jw's.

  i got disfellowshiped sixteen years ago [one of the best things that ever happened to me] and my wife left at the same time.

  What are Americans taught about U.S and what do you really believe?

  just wondering what exactly americans (u.s.a) are taught about their country in school .do you really salute a flag, do you swear allegiance to the country.

  are you taught that you fought for freedom, and that america is the land of the free, etc etc?

  Hello...a familiar story...

  hi all,i have been reading the forum avidly for about 6 months,what a great idea it is !

  !ive done the careful fade thing for a while and all is good,i have been left alone,albeit with the usual waffle from parents et al....and now ive decided to say hi to all the wonderful people on the site.......hi!!.

  i was raised in the t***h since 6 and had the hell that is school etc,the crap job etc,but for the last few years,realizing it was a joke,bettered myself (i think)and am having a blast!!.

  i'm not sure about the policy about posting scans of watchtowers here so if you want me to send you the scans let me know.

  the scans are in a zip file which is password protected.

  well, i've finally gone off the edge...after getting an aas degree in 2 years while working full time, i went and enrolled today to start working on a 4 year bs degree in engineering...i hope to get into the aerospace engineering masters program...heaven help me!!!.

  RR...I'm a "never been"...just a witness to the pain inflicted on my never was spouse by his X-wife and kids who are "true blue"...

  Yeah, rocket scientist sounds good...actually, I live near one of the NASA centers...and with a background in mechanical design and processes along w/an engineering degree...I think I'll make a good rocket scientist. I just got finished watching "Failure is Not an Option" on the History Channel...my personal heroes, Chris Kraft, Gene Kranz, etc...the guys who are the fathers of the US space program...I'll be about 45 when I finish...young enough to still hopefully do something productive...
