i wonder why families treat there own flesh and blood with so much contempt because they are inactive or disfellowshipped.. 6 week ago my father who is po of congregation ask me if i would like to go to the cricket to watch australia and england play.at the time i asked if any jw were going he said no.i payed for the ticket.did not hear from him for 6 weeks so rang up yesterday to ask about arrangments and was told that the brothers were going.

yes that right 3 elders and my nephew.. i did not ask to go i was invited.i payed for my ticket 6 weeks ago yet did not even get aphone call.when i conveyed my disgust to my father he blamed me.i can not fathom his reasoning.. so some elder is sitting in my seat watching cricket with a ticket i payed for.hope he gets hit on the head with a cricket ball.. my father is an intelligent man yet sometimes there thinking processes are so warped.they would not treat some drug addict they dragged to kingdom hall who shows interest the same way they treat own flesh and blood.. in 20 years time i think that jws will be a very small religion or almost extinct.if they keep up with there current thinking they will self destruct.tearing families apart will not make for a strong organization.

i am 26 , i was baptised at 12 (way to young to make that choice) df'd at 13, reproved at 16, and then finnally df'd for good at 19. i have been forced to leave behind my family and friends, but other than that have never been happier.

i just found this board and i am very happy i have, it is great councelling, and look forward to many great discussions.

well, a bit of an update.

i'm still trying to get my wife out of the organization, or at least to stop the half hearted adherence to the strict rules when it comes to our children.

after our last rather heated discussion where we realized that this issue might actually break us up i haven't approached the subject much at all.

I hope you hang in there. Try to be patient with your wife, she's the victim of a nasty brainwashing/mindcontrol cult. If she can handle you having CofC on your bedroom nightstand, perhaps there's hope you can win someday. Plus you have kids. If that cult comes between you and her, those asses win.......again! Your children could lose ..Bigtime!

back to the food..........the saying was "its the best food in the world before they cook it" the coffee was the really bad.

they would take a 55 lb.

bag of good coffee beans and boil the shit out of it.the joke was if anyone could find the guy that made the coffee, and kill him, our production nwould go up and armageddon could finally come.

Some time ago one of the "elders ™ " up here told me that he was asked by a Circuit Overseer ™ if he (the "elder ™ ") thought God watched humans do their business in the bathroom. (I'm not making this up). His reply was "I'm not sure".
