here's some albums i recomend:.
things we lost in the fire by low.
unknown pleasures and closer -- both are by joy division.
Actually Gita, it made him want to hang himself, but that wasn't because of the music. Ian Curtis suffered from epilepsy and his marraige was on the rocks. Its a shame Joy Division only made two albums. After Curtis' death, the rest of the members formed New Order.

be honest.
if you were raised a jw didn't you fear that you would die during the great tribulation and never have sex for all eternity (since ressurrected people don't have sex, according to the wt)?
whenever i think of an early demise -- nuclear war, for instance -- my thoughts almost automatically turn to, "i want to have sex.
Frankly, I'm tired of thinking about sex and when I do it causes me alot of anxiety. I don't think about sex when I think about death though. I'm unsure as to how to think about death-- ever since I became disillustioned with the religion I grew up with I became more open to the idea of life after death. I don't know its true but I can't say that its false either.
here's an article by nicholas rescher, professor of philosophy at the university of pittsburgh.

Here's an article by Nicholas Rescher, professor of philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh. Its titled On Faith and Belief. I stumbled across it while browsing the internet for articles. It was well written and interesting, so I had to share it with everybody here. Please note that who ever copied this article to the net made some technical mistakes.

without a doubt the most time-worn excuse of jw's when it comes to errors, omissions and failures of the jw parent organization goes something like this:i only ask that things be put in perspective and to also realize that the writers of the society are not inspired.. .
the statement above is certainly true.
the writers for the society certainly are not inspired.
A Witness will deny that any individual within the organization is inspired, but they would say that the organization itself is inspired by God. Basically, this is God's organization but he controls it by mysterious means.
Also note that the Governing Body denies being directly inspired by God and yet they keep comparing themselves to Moses and Aaron.
i have been calling my kids for some time now.
i am moving far away soon, and since i haven't had any contact with my daughters, i called them to let them know i was moving, and would like to say goodbye, before i flew away.
weeks went by, as ususal, and no response.
Congratulations. I'm glad to hear some good news. Its looks like they're changing their minds about the organization. It looks like you're winning them over.

there is an ancient artist?s saying that states, "if you do not know your materials, all you do is express your inability to express yourself.
" an artist must know his materials and the ideal of a true artist is to know those materials so well that using them is as natural as breathing.
in the two companion articles, "rightly value your gift of life" and "be guided by the living god," the june 15th, 2004 issue of the watchtower proves beyond any doubt that its writers have attained that ideal with their chosen medium.
"The Creator chose to view blood as having an elevated significance, reserving it for one special use that could save many lives. It was to play a vital role in covering sins (atonement). So under the Law, the only God-authorized use of blood was on the altar to make atonement for the lives of he Israelites, who were seeking Jehovah?s forgiveness" (Page 15) [italics mine]
Blood is only for atonement? So if I took some blood and then extracted components for medical usage that would be a violation of God's law. Is the significance of blood so elevated that human life becomes insignificant in comparison?

i was wondering if anybody here has any stories about members of the governing body?
has anyone here personally met one of them?.
