And there are some elderly folks still at Bethel that are cared for at Warrick by my uber cousin and I wonder how that works and how they get to stay in the compound. These people are really old too but I guess they get to stay in and get cared for. Wonder how that is determined?

Cleaning out my mom's house
by Lynnie inso i'm cleaning out my jw mom's house since she's gone to assisted living.
she had tons of bound volumes of the wt and awake from the 80's and 90's and the cousins decided to recycle all of them since "everything is online now.
they even recycled old nwt bibles!!

So I'm cleaning out my JW mom's house since she's gone to assisted living. She had tons of bound volumes of the WT and Awake from the 80's and 90's and the cousins decided to recycle all of them since "everything is online now." Really? They even recycled old NWT bibles!! And they are acting all nice and everything since they need my help with this even though my elder cousin is in charge and Power of Attorney. Just amazing to watch these people work.

i wonder who has a grudge with those congregations?
unfortunately we know the jw"s eat this crap up and enjoy the "persecution.

Are some of the long serving Bethel servants being given marching orders?
by carefullyread indoes any one have any info on the treatment of long serving elderly bethel servants who are retiring or virtually having to retire?
with the closing & selling off of their properties & relocation's, what is happening to their elderly servants who cannot just move away & have lived at some of their jw accommodations for so long?
many of these servants have worked for very little financial rewards & i have heard some have no life savings or superannuation retirements payouts.. shouldn't the society be paying out a redundancy sum to them?

Yes some old bethelites do get to stay and actually are taken care of but I'd love to know how that is determined. My uber second cousin is at the compound in Warwick and apparently does take care of some of the older folks and some have dementia. But they haven't been kicked to the curb so I wonder who gets to stay and who doesn't?

by Lynnie ini'm following an old friend on instagram who's an uber elder and he does lots of work on kh's and has gone to warwick on his own dime to help with the construction.
on his instagram post he says " i can't post pictures of the kh remodel but i can post pics of jack daniels that i had afterwards" or some such.
why aren't they allowed to take pics of remodels?

I'm following an old friend on Instagram who's an uber elder and he does lots of work on KH's and has gone to Warwick on his own dime to help with the construction. On his instagram post he says " I can't post pictures of the KH remodel but I can post pics of Jack Daniels that I had afterwards" or some such. Why aren't they allowed to take pics of remodels? This is the first I've heard of this latest policy. Anyone else know anything about this?

Witness Royalty and the last day at the "Towers"
by Lynnie inmy uber elder cousin and his wife got the "privilege" of having one last "toast" of wine at the rooftop garden at the towers in nyc since the jw's are vacating to warwick.
his oldest daughter and son in law are quite high up in the inner circle so they get invited to all the "inner circle" activities.
even though they aren't supposed to toast to anything it was pretty darn close.

I understand what you are saying, I've been strongly shunned for 40 years so I'm not sure it would matter. Sometimes I think I would like others to know if they do know him. Probably not the best plan. But it really doesn't matter now, water under the bridge for sure.

Couldn't get a screen shot unfortunately. And yes my uber elder cousin has money, just inherited a boat load from his non witness father and is extensively remodeling the family house on Puget Sound. and I'm sure he sends $$ to his daring daughter and SIL for extra things they might need at Bethel/Warwick. Even though the daughter and SIL fly all over the world checking on the different branches and telling them how to remodel or build their KH's. A few years ago they went to India because they were looking for a cheaper place to print the publications. Guess they don't need to worry about that anymore either since there are practically no publications.
