Funny how my cousins have long term care insurance they pay for every year ($8K per person) but of course they inherited $$ from his non witness father so they extensively remodeled the family home and are living happily ever after. Oh and they bought a new car too and called it their "death car" because they think it will be the last one they buy!
it really does help to be a rich witness instead of a poor one, life is so much better then. We have lots of rich JW's here in Seattle.
in my area, a lot of young people don’t want to have kids.
they get married young from 18-22 years old, and think that they know how they’re going to feel the rest of their lives about having children, (which they think will be never).
i respect people who don’t want to have kids, there are good reasons not to, but i think it’s foolish at a young age to think you will never think differently for the rest of your life.
My uber dub cousin got married at around 28 or so and he was a pioneer and so was his new wife. Well apparently they didn't know how birth control works because she was pregnant before their first year of marriage which surprised everyone since they were so devoted to pioneering and he was one of the youngest elders appointed in the "new arrangement." And apparently they didn't figure it out again when their second daughter was born about a year or so later after the first one. They had a third girl a couple of years later and then she decided to get her tubes tied since they couldn't seem to figure it out otherwise! LOL Lack of sex ed for sure!
a complete scandal is the reassignment to nothing of the thousands (?
) of bethelites, over age cos etc, .
out on the street atfter decades of unpaid service in very many cases.
And there are some elderly folks still at Bethel that are cared for at Warrick by my uber cousin and I wonder how that works and how they get to stay in the compound. These people are really old too but I guess they get to stay in and get cared for. Wonder how that is determined?

she had tons of bound volumes of the wt and awake from the 80's and 90's and the cousins decided to recycle all of them since "everything is online now.
they even recycled old nwt bibles!!

And they are acting all nice and everything since they need my help with this even though my elder cousin is in charge and Power of Attorney. Just amazing to watch these people work.

does any one have any info on the treatment of long serving elderly bethel servants who are retiring or virtually having to retire?
with the closing & selling off of their properties & relocation's, what is happening to their elderly servants who cannot just move away & have lived at some of their jw accommodations for so long?
many of these servants have worked for very little financial rewards & i have heard some have no life savings or superannuation retirements payouts.. shouldn't the society be paying out a redundancy sum to them?
Yes some old bethelites do get to stay and actually are taken care of but I'd love to know how that is determined. My uber second cousin is at the compound in Warwick and apparently does take care of some of the older folks and some have dementia. But they haven't been kicked to the curb so I wonder who gets to stay and who doesn't?

on his instagram post he says " i can't post pictures of the kh remodel but i can post pics of jack daniels that i had afterwards" or some such.
why aren't they allowed to take pics of remodels?
Well I don't want to ask him because I don't think he knows I can see his posts. It's much more entertaining to see what projects he's working on for free.

This is the first I've heard of this latest policy. Anyone else know anything about this?
my uber elder cousin and his wife got the "privilege" of having one last "toast" of wine at the rooftop garden at the towers in nyc since the jw's are vacating to warwick.
his oldest daughter and son in law are quite high up in the inner circle so they get invited to all the "inner circle" activities.
even though they aren't supposed to toast to anything it was pretty darn close.
