They just don't realize how stupid they look when they do this shit. Talk about being stumbled!! And how they can turn it on and off like a light switch too. So very awful behavior.

An old friend was all nice until she found out I was DF'd!!!

i've been out since i was 19 and i'm now 65. i have uber jw cousins that of course now shun me big time.
funny how when my uber jw started declining in health all of a sudden they "needed" me and i had to help with her care blah blah after being shunned for years.. my mom passed away a couple of years ago and i sent out the death/memorial announcements to her friends far and near.

My mom passed away a couple of years ago and I sent out the death/memorial announcements to her friends far and near. At that point I received a lovely note from "Jill' and she also sent some pictures of all of us and saying what great times we had. I then left the country for awhile and then decided to get back in touch with "Jill" since she was so nice etc and I really don't know how she couldn't have known that I was DF'd. So I got in touch with her via text since she had sent me her phone number in Santa Barbara the first time she reached out to me. Okay so I text and say hi and she's all nice and how are you etc? I responded back and said fine blah blah and the cousins are fine etc. Well I don't know who she talked to but now of course she has said "oh I just found out you 'left Jehovah" (god I hate that expression) and now you need to come back blah blah.
These people are so stupid that they can't figure out why anyone would "come back" after being so phoney to people. She was all wonderful and chatty until she talked to someone (no idea who since she's not in the Seattle area) and then of course she immediately went into cult mode. GAH!

Food donations from the government
by Lynnie inso i just saw on fb a letter going out to jw's in southern california to keep quiet if they get any food donations from the elders.
the jw's aren't giving this food out of the kindness of their hearts, they are getting it from the government and pretending they are doing it themselves.

The letter said something about how they don't want attention brought to themselves. Yeah because they are giving food donations under false pretenses.

As I thought there's basically only one that they base their favorite doctrine on. My cousin can't remember the slogan of "stay alive till 75" but will never let me forget that I'm disfellowshipped

I'm sure I won't hear from him again since he won't want to answer me about how he justifies his relationship with his sister my cousin. -

Yeah the double speak is just amazing! And the fact that he says that "shunning" isn't their word is really something too. So that means the word doesn't exist? These are people that just spent a month in Israel preaching to who? I don't know. Where the great are needed so they go.

We care about you. But you are the one who can open that door of association by returning to Jehovah. It's our prayer that you do this Lynn. You are a very dear relation of ours.Your cousin,WOW the double speak is strong with one. I love the fact that "shunning" is not their word so they don't do it. Nice to rewrite the dictionary and everything else. This cousin however has a normal relationship with his sister who was a JW but has been "inactive" for 50 years, celebrates all the worldly holidays etc. but somehow it's totally okay for him to have association with her. Hmmmm

cousin said it was going to be broadcast from patterson to wallkill.
anyone hear anything else about subject matter etc?.

No they are not. And yes I'm sure they will just say they are vacationing there or some shit. I can't imagine spending a month there being a JW. They have applied to go to Israel many times before for international conventions but didn't get chosen but I guess this time they got approved.

Ahh I think you are correct! Gilead Graduation now rings a bell. After that my cousins are going to Israel for a month to do missionary work. Wonder how that will all go? I can just see them walking around in their suits and dresses not fitting in at all.
