i wondered this even when i was a gung-ho jw: .
where in the bible do jws find the format for how the memorial should be celebrated by the "other sheep?
" i just don't see anywhere in the bible where it says that those not partaking should pass bread and wine.
You are correct. The bible states all Christians should partake. As Blondie pointed out, in 1935 they closed heaven to the world, allowing the rest of us to watch. If they didn’t allow us to watch 99.9% of the halls would be empty on Memorial night..
in order express my current wishes i am preparing a new dpa and medical directive to replace what i have signed from the organization in the past.
however, if family have an issue with my stand should i be incapacitated, i am including a preamble with the dpa so that the reasons for my wishes are clear.
i welcome comments, adjustments, or ideas.
You have put a lot of work into your preamble. If I may give an opinion, I would recommend that your preamble be presented to your family members only. It would only be confusing to the medical professionals. I recently needed to fill out a Health Care Proxy and I specified that only my doctor could make any decisions involving blood transfusions. For your own peace of mind, perhaps you could make a small card for your wallet stating that you accept blood transfusion and what your blood type is. I hope that you will never be in a situation that requires its use.
while i was an active jw elder, i wouldn't have up until that last year.
that's when i was totally mentally out, just going thru the technicalities.
i still respect other jw's viewpoints on their not accepting blood----although i think they are terribly misguided.
As a good and obedient Dub, If a handful of men living in Brooklyn didn't change their minds I would have spent years on dialysis and dealing with all the complications that came with it The quality of life between dialysis and a transplant is the difference between being imprisoned and freedom. I can’t believe I accepted whatever they said without question, but I did.

I am very thankful.
i have never seen a movie with such poor character developement!
the alien was the perfect role for keanu...playing an emotionally dead alien!
and will smiths son plays the little brat kid that needs a kick in the pants.
It was a very disappointing movie. I agree with all comments. I couldn’t understand why they wasted their time making this movie. If you are going to make a remake, it should be at least as good as the original, if not better. I would recommend this movie to no one.

Over the coarse of my life I had to under go many operations. I was always willing to die to be faithful to God as it was explained by the Society. I had a kidney transplant over 14 years ago and signed all the papers refusing a transfusion. Since then my eyes have been opened to the falseness of their teachings and this year I had a heart operation and made sure that if a transfusion was needed I would receive it. Matter of fact I did need one and had it. You can read about my experience here.

I am very thankful that none of the other times I was in the hospital did I need a transfusion. Perhaps I would have been another victim of this horrible policy. Thankfully, I now know the truth about the truth
george bush had a shoe thrown at him as a middle eastern sign of disrespect, so would you throw one at ted jaracz and what would you yell before the bethel heavy's grab you?
if it missed they would claim "jehovah's protection.".
"that's for the 1914 generation!"......
I wouldn't waste my effort they arn't worth it
a couple of hours ago when i got home from shopping the telephone rang my son answered it he said, "mom, aunt mary just called and uncle richard just passed away", i was just devasted.
it isn't sinking in.
my mind isn't somewhere else.. i believe i mentioned about him in a post a few days ago that he was just diagnosed with pulmanary fibrosis, i am in total shock, as the doctor told him he had about one to three years to live.
So sorry for your loss
my mom has gotten more calls and visits from the elders in the last 10 days.
all are them are checking up on her to see if she's in need of anything.
interstingly, the new co will be visiting starting today.. hmmm..
Speaking of a green handshake. We had an Elder in our congregation who was a married pioneer. He and his wife lived in a very small basement apartment. Only one room and with a bathroom. He didn’t have a steady job, worked odd jobs. His wife was unhappy with their living conditions. He was always looking for a free meal. During a meeting there was a part about the upcoming CO’s visit on how we can support his weeks activities. This pioneer elder raises his hand and says that the CO doesn’t receive much from the Society so he likes to give him a few bucks when he comes. I don’t know how we all held a straight face.
