  Hard to get over: No New System

  i have to tell you something.. i really find it hard getting over the idea of no new system and all that it meant to me.

  to be with my children and their children forever in perfect health.. too many days it just leaves me empty.

  i just wish i could shake it and enjoy life, but the idea that we just live for 70 years and die kills me.

  My statement did not speak or doubt of the "number of 144,000", but asked you to prove that at that moment (Rutherford's speach)

  how could he prove scripturally that the number was complete? (JW doctrine says that the numbers are dwindling, because there are no more

  and if you see a new brother taking the emblems, he just replaced a "unfaithful one") What "revelation" did he have?

  Revelation speaks of these 144,000, but does not tell us when the number would be completed? He must

  of been a prophet from God (more like the Devil) to proclaim himself an interpreter?

  Gdt: You're barking up the wrong tree!

  Who inspired J. F. Rutherford to proclaim in the 30's that the number of 144,000 was fulfilled?

  Since nowhere in the Bible does it says so, when he made the proclamation "he must of seen ot from God himself" thus prophecying!

  following a tax inspection lasting 18 months, the tax department established that association les temoins de jehovah, whose sole revenue consists of religious donations by its adherents, was run in a completely benevolent fashion, and that its activities were not commercial or for profit.

  nevertheless, the tax department levied a 60-percent tax on the religious donations made over a period of four years, between 1993 and 1996. this represents, on average, five euros per donor, per month.

  Yes, they are audited by professional external auditors.

  I guess this is why they have the annual meeting in Jersey City, where an elite bunch are personally picked through an invitation.

  That is exactly opposite of JW mentality "they must know everything"

  I totally agree, and believe that people wrote the bible. People interpret the bible. People always want to tell people what to do!

  Thus let's just be, and love each other in the mean time!

  I know some european contries allow you to take

  part of your income taxes and donate it to approved

  relegious orgs instead of the goverment! I think this is wrong and

  so is taxing only one religion, unless the others are not "selling" literature?

  The Fear of "Leaving The Truth"

  one thing i've seen on this board is that fear has been a motivator for many to stay on as witnesses.

  jws are afraid to get the elders mad at them, hurt their families.

  they're afraid to be talked about and dissected by the "brothers and sisters" because they are not considered up to par.

  They ACTUALLY are starting to enjoy "normal" aka "worldly" life!! -------Folks, all I can say is,"Once you get out of the "mind control" you will realize how many years that you have wasted.

  I guess people in Noah's time did the same.... or so it says.............

  Thus, makes you think that you are sinning if you do the same! Once you let go of the grip, you don't care anymore.
