  google reminds us how long ago this was, 1966 (or was it 67?

  ) - i was a teenager in high school and guess what?

  i never saw one eposode on local tv.

  i happened to be reading this part of acts yesterday, ananias and sappira getting zapped for lying about keeping a portion of their profits.

  it occurred to me, that is, like, oh my gawd, soooo old testament!

  is there any other place in the new testament where a person was immediately executed by god for their error?

  I don't get these people (maybe it's because were more civilized in this century). If I was nice enough to donate $$$$$, and subliminally omitted that I was richer than thought of (since I gave them 1/2 my house) --> normal people would be more than glad to take 1/2 my house............. but the cult started by these guys in the name of jesus and the big J use scare tactics with dire consequences?

  I really don't get this god............... these 2 were nice enough to give their $$$$.

  but, he kills them because they lied and only gave them half?

  isn't half better than nothing? WT is not getting any of my $$$$ for quite a few years running!

  I haven't seen God strike me down, I was even a glorified and approved MS while I was doubting and giving no $$$$$

  awful god, who would serve him!

  this weekend was the convention for the southern san francisco bay area.

  it was held at the santa clara convention center in the silicon valley http://www.santaclara.org/conventioncenter/ which is an improvement over the old s.f.

  cow palace which is still used..just not as much.
