It's interesting to see the progress from astronomical growth to a sort of equilibrium being reached.Agreed. I would say the growth was exponential from 1944-1977, linear from 1977-1992, and now showing signs of flatlining since 1992. Keep in mind these are long term trends and they are clearly visible in a graph, which I will soon post.

All Memorial Attendance Data from 1896 to 2016
by ILoveTTATT2 ini have made a spreadsheet of the reported number in attendance to the memorial since the first report of 13 people appeared in an 1896 watchtower.. since it can be very hard to find the numbers for the early years (anything previous to 1938), i will slowly make a note of where i found the data.some of the years i had to manually add hundreds of entries, since the wt did not provide the full number.i am building on the statistics of 1988-2013 that appeared here a while ago.soon i will be starting this but for other sets of data: # of publishers, hours, etc...here is the link: link.

Election Post-Mortem
by Simon ini'm sure many people, republicans included, are shocked at the results of the 2016 presidential election.
really, wtf!.
the polls were wrong and although it's tempting to blame voter suppression and fbi interference, that would just avoid looking at the real issues for the loss.

Minimus,
Curious as to your reasons for supporting Trump. If you don't want to say them publicly, you can send me a pm. But I really am curious about it.
Nathan, you do have a point. I cannot find any news of large riots when Obama won in 2008. There was a minor one in 2012, but nothing like 2016. -

I really thought that Trump had no chance in hell in winning the presidency because it was so obvious that (in the words of George Carlin) "...the owners of this country don't want that." The powers that be clearly wanted Clinton and Trump winning was a big F-U to the plutocrats.
Really? This sounds very conspiracy-theory. I could also flip that and say that "the powers that be" wanted Trump.
As to who would be more likely to start a war... who knows. Perhaps Hillary, perhaps Trump. Perhaps we were fucked either way. -

For the rest, their reason seems to be
1) Pick a conservative value
2) I hate Hillary.
pretty much. -

We also faced tens if not hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees from war torn areas of the world with no way of vetting them.
Uh... no.
https://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2015/11/20/infographic-screening-process-refugee-entry-united-statesTrump also never called Mexicans rapists (that was an invention of mainstream media).
That must be some amazing holographic technology the mainstream media has:

I am sorry, but I can't give you the benefit of the doubt that you support Trump for acceptable reasons. Seems like you accept all of the lies from right-wing media and defend Trump like he was a cult leader. -

This should make most reasonable people stop believing in the Bible as infallible
by ILoveTTATT2 ini think that few parts of the bible can make you atheist or at least agnostic or at least kill your belief in the bible as infallible or the work of a loving god as comparing 2 samuel 24 with 1 chronicles 21. most people focus on the 1st verse, but there are at least 4 major and 1 minor contradiction in the chapter (they are parallel accounts).in the new world translation, 2 samuel 24 starts like this:.
24 and again the anger of jehovah came to be hot against israel, when one incited david against them, saying: “go, take a count of israel and judah.” .
notice that it is an impersonal "one" who incited david to do the census.

Cool Yahoo question Island Man!!
There are some in my FB page that are debating over the 50 silver / 600 gold question. I don't buy their explanations. But even if I did, they'd have to explain the others in that chapter, and even if they did that, they'd have to explain thousands more contradictions!
