Republicans liberals??? You are kidding me. They proudly call themselves conservative. Conservatism and liberalism are by definition in different sides of the philosophical and political aisle. They, Republicans, just want to appropriate beautiful words, not unlike the guys at the extreme left. The people who best represent liberalism sit somewhere in the middle, moderates. Not surprising, they are willing to listen to both sides.Republicans, before the 1960's were the "liberals" and Democrats were the "conservatives". They made the historical switch in policies around that time. So, since this is 1947 we're talking about, then yes, I would say JW's would have voted Republican, which would have been Democrats today.

Jehovah's Witnesses in 1947 were not neutral! They would have voted Republican (i.e. Liberal)
by ILoveTTATT2 inback in 1947, the republican party was the "liberal" party.. i was reading an awake from 1947 and found out that jw's were not really neutral at all!
they clearly supported american democracy and rejected fascism and communism!their twist was that, of course, the catholic church and the protestants were in bed with the nazis, and if just the german people were allowed to be jehovah's witnesses, they would also embrace freedom and reject nazism.i am not making this up.. apparently the german people could not think right in 1947... that's why they did not want american freedom and democracy... where jw's would be free to preach!what?.

Where do Jehovah´s Witnesses Live?
by ILoveTTATT2 inthese are the worldwide percentages of jehovah´s witnesses and where they live.
a whopping 50% live in the americas, and a whopping 35% live in the us, or mexico, or brazil.
(the percentages shown on the right pie graph are of the worldwide total, so if it says 15% for the us it means that 15% of all jw´s worldwide live in the us, not 15% of the ones that live in the americas).what do you think of this graph?.

The Internet is worse for the Watchtower than 1975 was: here's proof.
by ILoveTTATT2 ini am translating jwfacts to spanish.
i am doing the "statistics" section.here are two graphs that show that the statistics have never been worse for the watchtower:quantity of hours required for 1 baptism: note how low it went in 1974-1975, and note that 2016 is much higher than the slump of 1978... about double, to be exact.
2016 was a historical record in this statistic (higher is worse for watchtower).. this stat is the baptisms as a percentage of the publisher average.

Another graph, even more stunning:
Bible Study to Baptism conversion rate. 2016 was another historic low! Notice, even lower than post 1975 (much, much lower, in fact)... and all post 1996... -

The numbers have been consistently bad for 20 years... Right around the 1995 mark there WAS a big change. The generation change was a big one, but every single time after false predictions they've bounced back. They haven't after 1995... and my theory is the internet... and perhaps other factors, but the internet is probably the largest one.

... which kinda proves my point. The internet has proved to be deadly for all religions. The internet really took off around the mid 90's. The first internet related article on Watchtower publications was in 1995:
*** g95 11/8 p. 29 Watching the World ***
Computer Porn Available to Children
As Australian schools connect up to the Internet global information network, they are also linking up to what amounts to a moral minefield. According to The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, they can access “X-rated photos of nude children, orgies, video clips from on-line brothels, a ‘bill of rights’ for people wishing to have sex with animals—and information on how to join a masturbation ‘chat-line.’” The article adds: “Passwords or proof of age were not required—just an ordinary dial-up connection.” Experts say it is impossible to censor the network “because its structure was designed . . . by the US Defence Department to survive a nuclear war.” The data is not tidily located in one spot but is mirrored on thousands of data bases around the world. Recently a Swedish researcher counted 5,651 messages or postings about child pornography in just four news groups in one week.
Unsurprisingly, it was related to porn. -

Notice how consistent the numbers are after the mid 90's. If it was because of a prophecy failure, I would have expected bounceback similar to the 1980's...
But since that bounceback has not come, I venture to say it's the internet that has KEPT them down. Especially the hours per baptism number, what else would so effectively prevent millions from coming in?
