He added that they have solicited Daniel Rivera, subdirector of Religious Affaris of the Government Secretary, information about the position he will take regarding this.
The law also will impose fines upon the congregations that have high volume at the time they're having their services, or if they are on the streets visiting homes to look for recruits to certain religions or in any way bothering people walking, stopping in the same manner the actions of bill collectors or even the police itself and everyone that dares to violate the integrity of the family.

Jehovah’s Organization has had a high regard for keeping itself clean from sexual sins. This is why we have gone to great lengths to police aspects of the sexuality of all Jehovah’s Witnesses, including the married ones.

Ever since its inception, the Society has been against being gay. For example, basing ourselves on 1 Corinthians 6:9, we said that being gay was condemned in the Bible.

But Jehovah leads us in interesting ways, and He promised that there would be “New Light”.

In this Scripture, the footnote (after the word “choosing”) reads: “You are a partner of,” LXX.

Lastly, this Scripture:

(2 Samuel 1:26) 26 I am distressed over you, my brother Jon′a·than, Very pleasant you were to me. More wonderful was your love to me than the love from women.

So we can see that Jonathan and David were lovers, even partners!

Did Jehovah disapprove? No! In fact, he took away the kingdom from Saul and he gave it to David, and even the Messiah came from his lineage!

Therefore, the Governing Body has decided that gay marriage is approved by Jehovah’s Witnesses. Also, tight pants are allowed, if you are gay.

In fact, Anthony Morris III will marry Stephen Lett, and the ceremony will be broadcasted live at the next AGM.

it would be done in very good taste, way better than political ads.

i would spare no expense.

I would travel around the world, use Hassan's services to free my family (my entire family, mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc), I would bring my grandma to live with me in Mexico and give her the best healthcare and lots of love, and find a good cause, like helping JW's leave the cult. I would buy a decent house, a decent car, and split up half of what remains just in the bank and the rest, invest.

why the almost superstitious "oh, it must be after sundown".

cause it's not sundown everywhere that second.. god knew the earth was round ... right?.

Evolution vs Creationism.

perhaps this has been discussed in the past, but i can't help noticing that on many posts creation vs evolution seems to equal theist vs atheist.

granted, a creationist by defination would have to believe in a creator.

on the other hand, believing in evolution doesn't automatically make one an atheist, a small point perhaps, but i think it would be more accurate to say believer vs nonbeliever.. just sayin'..

It definitely kills the Bible, so unless you completely redefine your idea of the Creator, then evolution does lead to atheism.

I Love TATT: Those places above the arctic circle in March/April have a sundown... In June they don't

Actually, there are some places in the world where there is no sunset at the times of the memorial. At the North Pole, for example, passover according to the JW rules would never happen because there is no sunset after March 18 or so. In between the North Pole and the Artic Circle, there is no sunset after April 18, so on various years there cannot be a memorial according to JW rules. I remember that in Edmonton the memorial was very late, like 8 PM or so, because already in March, the sun was setting at that time. Where I was born (near the tropics), it was always at around 6PM sharp.

amazing that not only have we lasted so long but we're still thriving and growing.. thanks to all the people and often colorful characters who've contributed to the site over the years.
