Remember also that their bar for being counted as a publisher is set pretty low. You can be in a nursing home and count 15 minutes a month or invalid and write a couple of letters an be counted as a publisher.Very true. I believe that is one way in which they have been inflating the numbers. Setting the bar lower and lower to be considered a publisher and not go "irregular".

Clearly, they're hunting down irregular publishers
by ILoveTTATT2 inlook at this graph:.
it has the % difference between the peak number of publishers and the average number of publishers for that year.
this number can only be positive.. what the graph tells us is that there is a clear trend towards hunting down inactive and/or irregular publishers.

Numbers don't lie... and these numbers are beautiful!!
by ILoveTTATT2 inthe numbers don't lie... definitely slowing down!!.
in the 40´s the average growth per year was 20%in the 50´s it was about 10%they had four decades of solid 5% per yearnow the average for the past 16 years has been 2%.
maybe in the future it will be 1% or 0 or even negative????.

Can you imagine any other idea that is 'true' requiring that amount of time to convince just 1 person of its veracity? Or are all those 8 million odd witnesses utterly inept?

Data for Partakers from 1935-2016. Latest number wasn´t this high since 1954!
by ILoveTTATT2 ini gathered the data for the memorial partakers every year since 1935 (the first year they had data) until now.. the latest figures haven't been that high since 1954!.
this stat looks very bad in watchtower land because the decreasing # of partakers was given, for decades, as proof that the end was near!.

(There was a family of 12 that moved from one city to our congo in a different city. Those 12 publishers would be counted in each city in the Peak publishers for that year.)
Really? Wow! I didn't know that they would do things like that! I agree that there must be a fudging of numbers somewhere! -

What the graph tells us is that there is a clear trend towards hunting down inactive and/or irregular publishers. They want you reporting hours every month!
Another thing it could tell us is that they've been using the average numbers to "fudge" the data, they´ve had quite the margin for many years to artificially inflate growth (since that number is based on average to average and not peak to peak). Now they are running out of room to fudge those numbers!

All Memorial Attendance Data from 1896 to 2016
by ILoveTTATT2 ini have made a spreadsheet of the reported number in attendance to the memorial since the first report of 13 people appeared in an 1896 watchtower.. since it can be very hard to find the numbers for the early years (anything previous to 1938), i will slowly make a note of where i found the data.some of the years i had to manually add hundreds of entries, since the wt did not provide the full number.i am building on the statistics of 1988-2013 that appeared here a while ago.soon i will be starting this but for other sets of data: # of publishers, hours, etc...here is the link: link.

Updated the spreadsheet, you can see the updated spreadsheet HERE.
It has the sources of the numbers so they can be independently verified.
