how come the bigger injuries hurt less?
I used to get shocked at work all the time (electrician) hot checking houses with the power on it was only 110 and it was just so much quicker! Lots of little cuts... lots of BIG cuts.... Lets see the worst...
Was taking apart some industrial shelving (big home depot style stuff) and one of the pieces in the pile slid off and the teeth that hold the shelf on (each tooth is about 2 inches high 1.5 inches deep three teeth total) hit me in the shin it really hurt like hell. when I went to move the metal it wouldn't move I looked down and the teeth had gone right between the tibia and fibia in my leg and slid down just like my leg was the shelf... locked right in there! I had to lift up on it then pull it out... the cut didn't hurt that bad it was the huge piece of metal slaming into my shin that hurt (getting 23 staples wasnt' loads of fun either) thats about the worst work injury I've had... lots of "hobby" related injuries LOL! And thankfully my new job hasn't given me any injuries yet...
earlier this year on vacation i caught the ferry over from cozumel to the mainland in mexico and dove the cenotes or underground cavern systems which have the clearest water i've ever seen....about 300- foot visibility.
you climb a ladder 30 feet underground into a cavern with bats flying around, and then slip into the water and dive through the passage ways which take you about another 30 feet underwater.
the scenery was spectacular.
the springs here in florida usually run about 68 degrees year round... that sucks donkey dong about your brother though I'm sorry to hear that.... weird though that he sent the pics but no contact is it possible that your in his address book and when he sends email to his list you get it too? Or maybe he wants to be with you but his religion keeps him back... really too bad hopefully it will work out!

This is one I loved. My wife was showing me something in a watchtower recently about blood and the quote was something like "according to the historian josephus (sp) early christians refrained from blood in all forms even refusing to use it as a cure for epilepsy" there by showing that blood WAS used as medicine and that early christians refused it... we were unable to find that quote in the sorce listed... hmmm mysterious! So I asked my wife if the WBTS is willing to follow the teachings of this josephus guy on this topic would they agree with him on all aspects of what the early christians did? She made a provisional yes and so we started looking at all the stuff in the book the quote was supposedly from (my mom had it) and it's all talking about jesus being god and hinting at the trinity... we never got far I was laughing too hard and she was screaming at me for being an apostate... oh well

I just casually asked him about all the watchtower and awake's in the Magazine rack. He replied that most of his emplyees are witnesses so I asked him how that worked out, his reply really made me think. He said- (paraphrase) witnesses make the best emplyees they love to work early mornings and nights so they can go bother people during the day, they are absolutly honest in everything they see a hundred dollar bill on the table they turn it in. They are terrific! However I never ever Hire a JW contractor or do business with a witness who OWNS a business they are always the most dishonest people in the trade. They overcharge, underwork, pad the bill, do anything and everything to screw you out of every penny they can...
This blew me away and then I started thinking about it and you know what? I think he's right! When I was a witness I worked for several brothers and they always seemed dishonest... they wouldn't dream of picking up a dollar off the street without reporting it but over charging on services didn't even phase them...
Three theories;
1) They figure they are so honest in every other respect that they can get away with it in business
2) they don't consider it too be theft to pad a bill...
3) (my personal choice) most of the people who OWN businesses are older usually elders ministerial servents and they don't feel they have to be as honest as the rank and file...

i remember when i got baptized in 1983 i tried to forget about a sexual encounter that i had had while i was going over my baptismal questions.
the night that i was going to confess all to the elders a friend of mine in the same congregation was "reproved" for conduct unbecoming of a christian.
before the reproof was read the elders gave a 20 min talk on premarital sex that was going on in the congregations.
This is my wonderful experience with people reporting themselves the dipsh!t that molested me when I was a kid ran to the elders after the act and claimed that he had to confess that several of the young ones had forced him to have sexual encounters with them... We (there were maybe 6 or 8 total) were all taking in for judicial meetings and asked why we would make this guy do stuff like that! We were made to feel guilty and all FORCED to say we were guilty and it was our fault... Did I mention that I was in 3rd grade and this guy was like 20? The oldest kid was maybe 15, or 16 this jack a$$ was at least 20 maybe 21... Thats the last time I EVER "confessed" to anything. You got 25 witnesses... never did it don't know any of these witnesses. You got video? Thats my evil twin thats not me. You have photos? Thats an Evil Clone, I was in Tibet when that happened, I have recipts for my Yak rental.
I confess to nothing, ever, to anyone. (I'm in law enforcement and I've got to tell you thats a good policy all around) never ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER confess to anything at any time for any reason no matter how good the case against you is!!! Lie deny, lie deny, lie deny! Never did it wasn't there don't know any of these people was an evil twin/clone/dopleganger/body snatcher/shape shifter demon what ever it takes it wasn't me! Hell to hear me tell it I've never left my house... on second thought what house!
