  Was in Fort Myers off and on since 2001. My home town is near Pittsburgh, PA and I often go to Bonita Springs where my daughter now lives.

  i was cheering wendy williams on when i saw her on et calling paula deen to the carpet for her use of racial slurs.

  i use to work for a woman that reminds me of paula deen.

  she was s caucasian woman her mid 60s and she was raised in georgia and she constantly would make racial jokes and do racial jestures in front of me.

  I think it is all PC bullshit. Us whites are constantly downbraded by radical "colored" so what is a slip of the tongue by a famous person. Don't even tell me that you people don't on occasion make a snide remark about someones ethnicity. Get a life already!

  hi there, this is my first post, but i've been buzzing around this site for years.. i got married at 18, hubby was 20, i was a regular pioneer and we were talking about serving in bethel.

  fast forward - i left in 2004 after a 5 year battle with my conscience, family and friends who kept insisting that i was just "weak and needed to have another bible study".

  however hubby and i stayed together although it was kinda on the understanding that we would just not talk about it.

  If he is not supporting you financially in any way, then it is a scriptual divorce. My daughter went through this in the late 1990's and the elders were agreeable even though they tried every trick in the book to try to convince her that the congregation would suffer. I said F them and we both wound up leaving. Happiness comes in many ways. LOL

  I have a hard time beliving that the parents are active JW's. The father has a goatee and if he was a "sincere and active brother" ..... that would not be on his chin. They may have some relationship in the cong. but I doubt that they are really involved in the weekly brainwashing.

  so my good ol soon to be ex father in law told me a few years ago (before i had told him of my horrible apostate ideas) about a "client" of his.

  my fil used to be involved in the insurance/finance industries.

  he had a lady client that was about 20 years older than him.

  There are a lot of JW con artists and it seems to me that your soon to be xfil it taking advantage of a situation that borders on "nasty". Around 2000, at the KH I went to, an older sister who thought the world of me and another bro (we both left our lifetime KH's because we were fed up and went to this KH) because we were the same ethnic background came to both of us and told us that the PO wanted her to sign her beautiful ranch home over to him because she was being hospitalized so much. He already had his own home but still wanted hers. We told her not to do it. Shortly after, I started fading even more than I did starting in 1998-99. The sister died not long after and I think her house went to a worldy relative. I'm glad the PO didn't get it.

  everyone please think about it, and beware of any initiative designed to solve "a community problem".

  becasue russel also started his own cult on a similar premise like this , claiming to have all the answers to issues whose solutions seems obscured to the majority in his days, and here we are today, constantly bashing our fingers on the keyboard in a bid to finding comfort from the mess he had put all of us into.

  I find it amazing that people on this forum who have absolutely no life and nothing to contribute have the audacity to question the efforts of those who are actually doing something constructive against the WT .

  The only thing I can offer to them is my opinion that they are ASSHOLES.

  Get a life and if you don't have anything positive to say then don't say anything at all ASSHOLE.

  I gave up smoking shortly before my baptism in 1971. In 2006 I started smoking again out of stress (but I did try a few in 2004) and was hooked again. It wasn't long and I was coughing and wheezing as if I had never stopped 30 some years before.

  It seemed that each year since I started back up in 2006 that I wound up with bronchitis at least twice a year. It really scared me. Well finally in October of 2012 I had my Doctor give me the patch. I had it for 14 days and haven't had the urge for another smoke since.

  Coming up on six months clean and don't even think about it anymore. The monetary rewards are even better. i was smoking Camel Lights which cost $6.27 a pack. So it comes out that I was smoking a pack a day which came to about $185.00 or so a month. Wow! What I have saved in the past six months has more than paid for my two flights to visit my daughter in southwest Florida.

  Whatever the outcome is, the WT is still going to part with millions of dollars. Legal fees in a case like this are not cheap.
