I think Trump and Desantis will run. I also think they will win. Then Trump will most likely die in office and Desantis will take over. Having lived in SW Florida for 5 years, I have seen that there are only three classes of people. The very rich, the retired rich, and the working class poor. The republican government of Florida doesn't care about the working class at all. They are oppressed at al all levels. With the low wages, high rent and high cost of living, you will see as many as 10 people sharing rent. The state makes it next to impossible to collect unemployment.
Desantis is a good fit for the rich but a bane to the working class. Myself, I'm not rich but see good points and bad in both sides (republican and democrat). But I don't see anything happening to make everyone happy. I think as far as JW indoctrination goes, they had a good point of not getting involved in the politics of the world. I had never had anxiety or issues of any kind when I could care less about who was in office. Now, I sometimes worry about what idiots in power will do next to hurt the population.

The majority of us know what TTATT, PIMI, PIMO, and a few other abbreviations mean, but please.........when posting something important, spell out the word or words. If there is a newcomer to this forum (or an old fogey like me), that person probably doesn't have a clue to what you are saying.

That is the KH I used to attend. I even helped to build it back in 1989-1990. It cost $90,000 to build. Our old congregation donated money for years into the building fund and we were so happy when it all came together. Then what did the exalted poobahs of the WT society decide to do? They merged another KH into ours and not one single penny from their own building fund was donated. The money they had saved up was given to the sister KH that shared their building. A lot of us were pissed but being good JW's, we had to stifle our feelings. I left that congregation in 1997 and went to another. It wasn't too long after that when I was totally awake and left for good.

Back in 1996, my daughter split from her lazy ass no-account JW husband. Her Grandmother (my Mother) who was a DF'd JW since 1973 because of the idiotic smoking ban, spent most of her day cooking. That's what she loved to do for my Father (never a JW), me (being widowed that year), and my daughter who worked full time to pay her bills plus a mortgage that the lazy ass wouldn't. Plus, Grandma would send my daughter home with a ton of food to get her through. The elders got wind of me and my daughter spending time with Grandma. We had been doing this for years. So what did the gestapo do? They came to my home and read the riot act about socializing with DF'd family. I got pretty heated up and asked if I should make my Mother go to the basement of her own home while I visited Dad. Those idiots were so adamant that I threw them out of my house. This was repeated again about two months later. That's when my daughter started going to a different KH. About 6 months later, I left that KH for a different one.
The best thing to come out of this was that in a few years, my daughter and myself became POMO's.

Retired steel worker and machinist. In retirement, I worked about 6 months in a Florida fish market fileting fish, shucking oysters and clams, and cooking shrimp. I loved doing that.
