  Janet,

  It is my pleasure to know you as I do.

  To all of you reading this.......Janet is a great and wonderful person..........I know this for a fact because even though I've never met her, she has been a help to me in my time of not being so happy. I can honestly say that she knows a lot of my secret feelings and the kind of person that I am. I feel safe talking to her since she has an insight like no other. She is truely an asset to JWD and I think the world of her.

  Now......what does JWD mean to me? It has been a place for me to meet people who have been through the same crap. People who understand each other. A place where the majority show UNCONDITIONAL love and understanding. A place for me to express everyday happenings and feelings. A place for me to make comments or give my humble opinion to someone who is looking for an answer. A place where I have on occasion made a comment that helped someone or wasn't the best and made an ass of myself. A place where I have seen others make an ass of themselves too!

  But most of all, it is like the coffee shop where I go each morning and chat with the locals about anything and everything and do not get chastised for having free thinking and my own ideas......and the people still like me for myself.

  ALL STAYING AWAY FROM THE FUNERAL!!!!!

  my father in law died and i have been asked by my jw mother in law to take the funeral even though i am disassociated.

  last night an elder rang my mother in law and told her not to be suprised if many of her close friends from the hall stay away.

  i am just stunned at the callousness of it all.

  the kids 18 year old sister is already not looking credible on the stand, let alone the mom, and the two brothers.. they will be shown without doubt to be greedy, money hungry liers.

  They will be shown without doubt to be greedy, money hungry liers. Did they lie in this case? Too early to tell.

  Not saying that this is the right verdict, but I agree 100% with Freedom.

  Another plus on the MJ side is that over-zealous prosecutor who almost jumped up and down like a 4 year old when they found what they think is evidence.

  many opponents of the wtbts have published information saying that the wts forbade organ transplants, and the reason given was that the wts said it was equal to cannibalism.

  i may have used too strong of words in saying 'hate filled' by why do you all call someone who disagrees with you a 'troll'.

  i disagree with lots of people without resorting to name calling.

  Why not call them Weasels?

  In the mid to late 1980's we had a party get-together at my home for some of the two-faced sweet teenagers of the KH.

  I set my stereo equipment up on the patio and had a young brother do the djing. Of course we didn't want any debased music played so me, my wife, and daughter went over what we thought appropriate to play. But I still got in trouble. It seems that one trouble making teen sister ( she was always causing trouble for someone ) reported to the PO that some of the music was demon inspired. Are you ready for this? ......."The Devil Inside by Billy Idol"

  That's right! I was about ten feet away from her when the song played. She started screaming when Idol got to the lyrics about "everyone of us got the devil inside". She kept saying "THAT'S DEMONIZED.....THAT'S DEMONIZED.....TAKE IT OFF". What a jerk! The next day I got the phone call and wasn't asked about anything first. I was outright told that I was in trouble for the music I allowed to be played. He also said that his own two trouble making daughters didn't like the fact that we were playing "Def Zeppelen" songs. What a**holes! None of them knew the difference between Def Leopard or Led Zeppelen. We played Def Leopard. I knew enought not to play any Led Zep demon inspired music that I loved. Now....can you tell me what is wrong with Def Leopard?

  Before he could say too much more, I let it go with both barrells and told him off and said his daughters should confront me with what they thought was wrong with the music. Never heard a word again! The JW hysteria about music at that time was idiotic (then again it always is). It was automatically assumed that a group with an odd spelled or cryptic type name was nothing but Satan worshipers.

  That incident was just another thorn in my flesh about the congregation and the society as a whole that festerd for over another decade until I said to hell with it all.

  Surgery Tomorrow

  well the big day is finaly upon me.i know i have'nt been posting these last few day's i been in a lot of pain,to sit and my pc, so i just wanted you all to know that it will be at least 3 weeks until i get home.i will be thinking of about all of you and my son has promised me that he will update every few days here

  This thread is very entertaining. The shame and pity of it all is that I could probably have justified being the same kind of ASS when I was still mentally and emotionally blinded by the WTBTS.

  And I definitely would have counted the time doing it. Hey, I counted time for dumber reasons!
