many years ago, we lived in a world where the one tv in your house might be black and white, perhaps color if you were lucky, but either way the screen was small and the arial on your house would struggle to deliver a decent signal but often fail in a fuzzy mess.
most of the movies you saw were old, there was no home video or rental - you got a chance to see something and then it was gone.
planning your viewing was important to make sure you didn't miss something so you'd carefully scan the tv guide to pick out your favourites ... good job there were only 2 or 3 channels to look through.. but you could still see quality if you went to the movie theatre and there you got to see glorious film on a giant screen (which is only now being equalled quality wise).
When I was a kid in the 1950's there was a TV western called Annie Oakley staring Gail Davis. At the age of nine or ten, I fell madly in love with Gail Davis and even asked my parents if we could go and see her in the town of Diablo, New Mexico where it took place. Little did I know then that it was all fictitious and filmed on a Hollywood lot.
i have never been there!
where should i visit in washington dc while i am there?
thank you in advance for your recommendations!
Other than the national monuments, the Smithsonian is a must but it is so huge that you might want to pinpoint the parts that might interest you like the air and space museum. It would help to Google it and have an itinerary to fit your time available.
if you have , was it worth what you paid?
?.
I bought the entire Ninja Kitchen System and use it all the time. It is a great buy. Also bought the My Pillow two years ago and it is the best pillow I have ever used. It's everything they say it is.

in my search, i left behind conditional, behavior-based love and traded it for the unconditional grace shown by a true family, whose bonds have nothing to do with dna.. and i’m dying grateful for that.. (heidi hall, who died sept. 25, 2019, at age 49, was a veteran journalist whose award-winning career took her from the standard democrat in sikeston, missouri, and the southeast missourian to the tampa tribune and the nashville tennessean before landing her at vanderbilt university’s public affairs office.

Just read this very interesting story. Thanks Blondie for sharing this.
it's not much but anthony morris the turd had what i believe is his first official post-whiskeygate sighting, in a jwdotorg article that mentioned him giving a talk at a convention.
getting quite a paunch there!.
.
I was raised as a Catholic. Looking at Anthony Morris I can't help but think of all the fat Catholic priests who never lifted a finger in manual work. Morris is just another fat lazy turd living of the backs of others,
i was just wondering if there is any official rules on dealing with this.
a sister in the congregation is planning to divorce her husband who is also a witness so she can marry a different brother in the same hall!
yes this is a huge scandal!
In 1965 my cousin 's wife (they had one kid) committed adultery with a married brother (he had two kids and his wife was not a JW) in their congregation and they got divorced. I'm guessing it was my cousin that filed for the divorce. The two sinners moved in together and eventually got married. They were reinstated within two years. My cousin never fully recovered from this and was never much of an active JW. The other two however were eventually looked at as pillars of the congregation. I know because about 5 to 6 years after the "sin", I became a JW in that very same congregation in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. This whole scandal was the topic of the community. What really was the icing on the cake was the fact that she is white and he is black and back then, interracial couplings were really frowned on by society.
He eventually became an elder and was PO of the congregation in the 1990's into 2000 something and he really "lorded" it over the congregation. He had most of the congregation practically bowing to him. By then I was already out. The wife was one of the biggest troublemaking gossips in that KH along with a few other "sisters". It seems like some people brush their wrongdoing under the table.
there is so much wrong with the newly released october, 2019 but that's not unusual.
what stands out is there statement claiming that survival through armageddon depends on loyalty to those 'taking the lead'.
since they claim there will be a point during the gt that they (the gb) won't be physically around, jws must still be loyal to jw leaders.. whats interesting in this article is that they make it clear that they, the governing body are going to take part, from heaven, in the war of armageddon.
We better hurry up and go back. It's da troof!
as a witness, when you thought about jesus christ, what was the first thing that came to your mind?.
I always wondered why we (JW's) put Jesus on the sideline while all other Christian religions put him at the forefront. I think that always ate at me and this is what created my initial doubts that this religion was flawed.
it's always cool to see honest accounts of jehovah's witnesses in the news.
i got the opportunity to be interviewed locally and took it.
i put myself out there and here's part one.
Fantastic article and thank you for doing it. Your story rings so true and I and many others, can really relate to the experience. I can't wait to read part two.
