God forbid that a JW own a pickup truck. Fellow JW's will be like flies on shite wanting you to haul stuff for them.

Dating with a guy
by Renee86 inhi,.
if you date a jw guy do you say to each other you are actually dating or courting?.
-
HappyDad
If you are not a JW and he is, it could be the biggest mistake of your life. JW's are only supposed to "see" other JW's. If he still says he is a JW and has JW family, then he will still want to please them and most likely would not tell them he is seeing a non-JW. Dating like this is a complete no-no for them. If you really like this guy and it actually leads to marriage, there's a chance he will try to get you to become a JW. If you don't convert and he continues as a JW, there will be many problems in your marriage. You can read countless stories of JW/Non-JW couples and the lousy marriages they are stuck in on this forum.
My advice is to run for your life while you can.

Sixteen years later and wow is life different
by BlackSwan of Memphis ini have no idea if this is the right place to post this.
if you're just leaving the witnesses or questioning and toying with the idea of leaving..... life goes by fast.
and either you rip the band aid off and deal with it or let it fester and eat you alive.

Which is which? I've been out for over 20 years and really can't keep up with the doctrinal and physical changes. There have been so many construction projects, property sell-offs, and whatnot. Can someone clarify what exactly is in each city/town.
Patterson: Education Facility? Education for what?
Wallkill: Printing? What little they do these days.
Warrick: World Headquarters?
Tuxedo: World Headquarters? Media Production Center? Luxury homes for the upper echelon?
Ramapo: Media Production Center?
It's a wonder there is any money left after what is being spent for legal costs and lawsuits.
All that money spent and nothing to help hungry and homeless people.
They/We/I condemned other religions for their faults and having false beliefs, but their fruits are not coming forth. I see other religions and churches operating food banks, homeless shelters, and counseling centers.
How much more can they possibly spend. After all, the end is right around the corner. Forget saving for retirement or getting an education that will provide a good living. (sarcasm intended)

Keep Sweet Pray and Obey [FLDS Documentary]
by RolRod inthere's a new documentary series on netflix regarding the flds.
fundamentalist latter day saints.
anyone watch it yet?

I watched it the past two days and was just stunned that something like that is allowed to exist. There were so many parallels to JW's. The whole thing is totally weird.

It's been a long 9 years Lloyd Evans / John Cedars
by Newly Enlightened inoriginal reddit post (removed).

I am wondering if anyone has ever contacted Leah Remini or Mike Render as to what a piece of crap Lloyd Evans really is. A couple of years ago when they had him on their show, I have a feeling that Lloyd wasn't fully vetted by their staff. It most likely was a case of seeing his website in the forefront and thinking he was a strong advocate against the JW religion.
Your thoughts?

I moved to Minnesota three years ago and have discovered that the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area has a large number of craft breweries. I have had some of the best beer I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. Most of the restaurants have several brands and varieties along with the national brands that most are familiar with. At the cost of $6.00 or $7.00 for a 16 oz. glass of craft beer, you don't drink but one or two. And from experience, I believe it is more potent than the national brand (well drinks). Then again, there are some very good local brands that are only $3.00 for a 16 oz. glass. Now that I am a somewhat very old man (75), I find I can't drink the amount I did in my youth.

Serena Williams thinks she is a JW LMAO
by jojorabbit ini saw a post pop up on some click bait where serena williams saying she was praying for armageddon to come and that the jws have said we are living in critical times hard to deal with.this was her response to the texas school shooting.

I never have been into fat asses. They are a turnoff for me. Why is it, that no matter how unattractive a person is, once they get rich and famous, the world thinks they are beautiful? Both Williams sisters are big girls. The only thing that helps keep their weight down is all the calorie burning tennis playing. I can see them eventually weighing around 200 pounds.

Homeopathy and Jehovah's Witnesses.
by jojorabbit inyears ago, the jws did not like modern medicine.
vaccines and other things were all deemed bad.
this gave rise to a lot of jws getting into alternative medicines.

If this dilution theory works for Homeopathy, then I should be able to pour one bottle of beer into a 5 gallon container and then I will have 5 gallons of a liquid that will still give me the buzz I desire.
