Thinking about getting a Tatoo... Your Opinions.

I have both a tat and a piercing. My tat is in a spot where no one will ever see it unless I want them too. I think it's best to make sure that if for some reason in the future you don't want people knowing you have one - then put it where it will be inconspicuous. And no, it's not a temporary insanity thing. It's a I want it so I'm gonna get it thing.

Mine is a tribal star - kind of a star with a fluer-de-lis on the end of each tip if that makes any sense right on my tail bone. It hurt like Heck, but I love it... and so does my husband! It's solid black.

In my teen years I wanted a Bird of Paradise (the flower, my favorite) up my side... the stem going up my waist with the flower spanning up and across the side of my breast... in full color of course! I decided that the concept was all good and fine but the hiding would be more difficult and what would happen when I had a kid - the stretch marks and stuff (not that this is a concern for you!) So I went with the tail bone and a cool star.

I agree with the thought of don't do something too meaningful now, because all of that stuff changes as we grow and mature. Even if you are 40! Do something that is undoubtedly cool in your mind. Color fades with time but black doesn't as much. It's gonna hurt more if you do it over bone than the fleshy area's but it doesn't last for too long. Make sure that you go to a tattoo parlor that you trust. I went to the best in town. It was very clean and very professional.

DO IT! It's YOUR mark. No one else has your mark (unless your one of the Hell's Angel's and getting the mark of the club!) it's a sign of you!

chicago - bill cosby (news) went off on another tirade against the black community thursday, telling a room full of activists that black children are running around not knowing how to read or write and "going nowhere.

I have to agree with JT.

I beleive that it is every one's option to rise above what you were raised with and be a better person and allow yourself to be educated - or not. My family - aunts, uncles, cousins are WHITE TRASH!!! Complete with dead cars lost in the weeds in the front yard and chewing tabacco stains on the sofa. But we - my family- rose above that. And, I chose to rise above that.

It doesn't matter where the books came from - it doesn't matter what condition they are in - they are still learning tools. They still contain the valuable information that will expand your mind and allow you to *THINK* and see that there is a better life, you just have to set your goals to rise above it all. The books still will teach you proper grammar and math skills necessary to rise above.

It is not someone else's fault, you are dealt a hand of cards, play them to the best of your ability. It is no one else's responsibility to hand you the world - you have to reach out and take it!

I have huge issues with the facct that everyone in our society points a finger and blames the next guy. This one is about race, the next person it's about gender, blah blah blah. STAND UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSEVES PEOPLE!!! No one cares about you, but YOU when it all comes down to it. Even your own mother will turn her back on you - how many here have been disfellowshipped and shunned by their own mother? Yup! Point made.

I think Bill is right on to take the bull by the horns and lay it all out on the table. He's right. Kids should have a better example to show them what they SHOULD be doing - speaking proper English, Dressing properly, and even basic hygene. I agree completely with Bill and JT.

Your future lies with you. If you say that you can't do it then you can't. Because the only one who is going to make it happen is you.

Get your mind set to start your new life NOW! You can start building your own family - who won't judge you by how many hours you put into field service last month - with your girlfriend and her family. Make friends with your neighbors, and the people you work with. It is amazing how many great people there are around you that are never given a chance by those stuck in the cult because they aren't dubs... Truly amazing!

I haven't spoken to my mother in over two years and I've only missed her once. (I was sick with the flu and I wanted my mommy! Obviously delusional!) You get used to it. It is actually quite refreshing after a while that your time is yours! Imagine, you don't have to spend every once of your vacation time going back to the same old place time and time again! You can go anywhere! Of course, in my world you get to go see the in-laws who live four hours away, but hey, what the heck? I can't have everything!

Kingdom Hall Destroyed By Fire

the denbigh, virginia kingdom hall was destroyed by an accidental fire begun by a member who was welding and soldering pipes in a bathroom.

the insulation ignited and although he tried to extinguish the blaze, he was unsuccessful.

the family of my partner (beaker) have been telling everybody that they come into contact with that he left his wife for me.

in actual fact his dub wife left him because she was having an affair with his best friend.

she left beaker in early december & we met in march.

Sounds good to me! Definately send a copy to the higher ups. Send a copy to your local paper and to one of those airplanes that carries banners around at the beach or at the soccer game!!! Make it known and then fry their &*$'s!!!

Using their own information against them is a good tactic. Let them choke on their own words...
