  similar view of how watchtower's god will treat everyone who disagrees with them in armageddon.

  dolphman: believe what you want and mischaracterise what I said as you see fit. I haven't lost any "argument" as you put it and have nothing to try and "weasel out of". You should try and find some place where anyone has said they support Saddam.

  Angharad: You and others such as yourself have LOST ALL CREDIBILITY as well as the argument. By joining the ranks of the French, the UN, and by attacking the policies of George Bush on every level, you have implicitly implicated as a supporter of a Saddam regime. At every possible moment you and your friends in the UN and France made things hard if not impossible to bring liberation to the people of Iraq and rather indirectly made the life of Saddam so much more easier.

  Much more has happened besides a statue falling. We have destroyed the Iraqi army and Baath regime with minimal loss to civilian life. (Something many of you said would not happen without 100s of thousands dying). You said no terrorist connection existed. What about the terrorist training camps complete with disassembled airliners found in Iraq? WMD will be found in due time as well.

  It seems you are all desperate to try and find a way to weasel out of previous stands and statements. The fact is you were all WRONG. About EVERYTHING. Deal with it.

  Don't try and backpedal now.

  it is interesting to see that the sick minds in pentagon u.s. have named a powerful bomb mother of all bombs (m.o.a.b).

  it is something beyond any human imagination.... how come and you name a bomb that brings dead to human lifes, like now in iraq, were more than 1000 died and 5000 injured most of them women and children.

  i quess this is how bush will set the iraqi people free, by killing them.

  Number of innocent Iraqi civilians killed:

  Saddam Huseein: 500,000 to 1 million

  US military: 1000

  hmmm....you do the math...

  Now I know why they're dancing in the streets! Think about it. Oh...and quit whining already. You've lost the argument.

  Nothing you said was going to happen HAS actually happened. The iraqis have welcomed us with open arms. We have not decimated Baghdad's infrastructure. We have not incited more terrorist attacks. We have limited the amount of civilian casualties as much as possible. Humanitarian aid is coming and there is no crisis. No refugees. Osama bin laden is still running for his life. And WMD will be found shortly.

  NOTHING YOU HAVE SAID WOULD HAPPEN HAS HAPPENED. You have all been DISCREDITED. For a bunch of intellectual elites, you've all been whooped by a C average student from Texas.

  Listen to Simon and others TRY and weasel out of every nook and crannie they are now stuck in for supporting Saddam Huseein, the French, the sad UN, and others.

  I'm sure there are pictures of mutilated American soldiers somewhere. The fact is in WAR people DIE. NO duh! The whole thing is sad, but not as sad as supporting an evil dictator and making excuses for not doing the inevitable, the only thing that could have freed the iraqi people, squashed terrorist training centers in Iraq, and found WMD. And thats war folks, take it or leave it. The only thing that works.

  You guys are still trying to make excuses...JEEZ, you lost the argument, ok? Turn on CNN and see the dancing Iraqis for yourselves. If anybody should be pissed, it's them. I'm sure there are plenty of families in Iraq mourning the loss of their loved ones, just as they're are those in the US doing the same. But it was nescessary, sorry, this is how the world works.

  Be thankful you didn't have to sacrifice anything.

  I've seen film of Iraqi dead shown on the BBC (one still holding a white flag which surprisingly was not picked up on). I'm sure this is just as harrowing and unpleasant to the families of Iraqi's that have possibly been conscripted.

  Simon, have you not read about the 10 marines killed in a battle that was started when supposedly "surrendering" Iraqi soldiers opened fire on them?

  Apparently this is becoming too common.

  look, i keep hearing all this garbage that the war is illegal and blah blah blah goes against international law but get this:.

  in 1991 iraq signed a cease-fire agreement that basically said in agreeing to all it's requirements us promised to stop blowing the crap out of retreating iraqi units.

  the requirements were:.

  well simon, some people who object to the facts are "weak minded". That's the reality. It's not a weak argument. It's simply reality.

  "Do as we say or we'll do it anyway" ....obviously thats the only way to get people's attention. That kind of conversation did get inspectors back into Iraq after 4 years, did it not?

  I think I got simon on this one....

  When 1441 was passed, it was clearly not a mandate for war. This is why the US and UK were going for the second resolution. Why would they do that if they didn't need to?!

  Well Simon, it's like this simply put:

  To appease weak minded people who don't have the guts to deal with the situation rationaly and decisively. We tried bringing an international consensus, but the fact is people are to blinded by fear to deal with the reality of what has to be done.

  Colin Powell should be given a medal for putting up with that circus known as the UN. He did a great job. But as you can see, people are much more willing to appease a dictator than face the reality of enforcing their own resolutions.

  wow simon funny how you left out the UN arms inspectors in that comment. Any replies on that?

  so hmmm....the Americans and UK just love randomly blowing up stuff in the desert. I suppose if I was flying in a supposedly safe no-fly zone, and someone decided to SHOOT at me, I'd perhaps bomb a ground target.

  And just what are those ground targets anyway? hmmm? hospitals? day-cares? how about mobile anti aircraft systems....that's more likely.

  remember Simon, the Iraqi's LOST, which means they don't get to decide who flys over their country or doesn't. They signed the paper-work.

  You make it sound like the UK and US bomb stuff for the fun of it. In either case, if they are being fired on, they have EVERY right to.

  that's what happens when you lose a war, you lose.
