Jesus girl, were you home-schooled or something? What's so hard to figure out about the sentence above? A warhead filled with a chemical will only last about 30 days. THAT MEANS THAT THE CHEMICALS WITHIN WILL LOSE THEIR POTENCY. The warhead will have to re-filled with more chemicals to be used again. Basically it (the warhead) acts as a container that can deliver the chemical safely to it's target.

Now what in god's name is so difficult to figure out about that?

My god. I've taken a few hits in my life but they weren't kidding when they said "Crack is the scourge of America".....

Because Simon most people when "they don't agree with you" on America tend to blame America for every atrocity and every problem that currently infects the world. That seems tantamount to hate to me. The reason why fanatic muslims want to kill us is simply all because the US is a big bad bully. I'm not buying it man. A lot of it has to do with them just being FREAKS and wanting to re-instate 15th century (When Islamic culture was at it's high point) on all of us. It's one thing to disagree, but to ignore reality and blame america for all the problems in the world is ridiculous. It's as if we do no good. It's as if we're responsible for everything. I think a lot of people who think this way don't understand these cultures allied against us very well. They don't care how sorry we are! They're going to kill us for being weak. These people aren't boy scouts.

I STILL don't have the show of proof on that 30 day shelf life for the WARHEADS - am still waiting.

You poor thing. A warhead is a container. You put the chemical INTO the warhead. Now, a warhead itself can last forever, until it gets rusty. The chemicals that you actually put in to the warhead have a limited shelf life, some only last 30 days.

Now, what is so hard to figure out about that?

Oh, by the way, have you ever heard of The League of Nations? They were about as effective at stopping dictators as the current UN. That's why Bush is so persistent.

This is the kind of absolutist, GOOD/EVIL thinking that scares the hell out of me. And you keep saying Saddam, Saddam, as though we're just going to go in and kill one guy. Remember that we are talking about an entire country and its people. The UN estimates that 500,000 Iraqis may die in a full-scale invasion. Are they all evil too? And then the Chinese, and the Egyptians, and the Saudis . . . Sure, let's just roll over them all one at a time! That'll make the world a better place, won't it. Sounds a bit like Armageddon to me.

OK. So...I'm still waiting for a better idea. I never said it was a GREAT THING to do. I just sad it had to be done. Killing 6 million germans in ww2 wasn't very nice either. OR nuking 100,000 people at Hiroshima. If there was a better, more peaceful way to do either, I'm sure it would've been done.

Again folks, we live in the real world, where people die. The US does what it can to minimize civilian casualties. If you think we purposely kill civilians for the fun of it, then you are sick indeed. However, there has yet to be a proven way to effectively force someone from power without actually having to kill them.

So once again, what is there to say? War is bad? NO SHIT!

what do you mean rephrase? You speak good english right? What did you miss? The warheads can last however long a piece of metal last. It's the chemicals that need to be kept under close supervision and have varying shelf lives.

I don't agree with bush's economic plan, his environmental policies, or his abuse of the english language. However, with Saddam, things are black in white and if you can't figure that out, then jeez, I don't know if there is any helping you.

I'm unreasonable huh? Well, try talking to some of these people on this board who still think Saddam doesn't have WMD. Now that's an exercise in futility!

Your right Simon, America needs to find a way to figure out the middle east a little bit better. But as long as people think were all a bunch of arrogant bullies (Just ask grudgelover) than we're always going to have to have our hands tied behind our back. Trying to do things and working with people in power we don't want to but have to to avoid being considered imperialist.

Anyone remember the league of nations? How sucessful were they at stopping WW2? Sometimes, you gotta grab the bull by the horns, at the risk of being considered a bully. Deleted the UN. THE ONLY REASON THERE ARE INSPECTORS RIGHT NOW IN IRAQ IS BECAUSE WE MADE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR TO SADDAM THAT THEY NEEDED TO GET BACK IN THERE. IT wasn't Kobe Annan crying about it that brought them back in it.

There are bigger bullys in this world with a lot more menacing intentions. Give the US a break.

Hmmn ... I remember some similar reason for fighting in Vietnam: something about "the whole area could turn communist". Of course this justified backing the wrong, evil regime for that too.

Ok simon, ask the Vietnamese immigrants in America what drove them to take dangle from helicopters during the fall of Saigon or spend 6 months in shark infested waters to get to America. Was it to escape a "wrong, evil regime" or to escape the damn communists?

Hmmm...I'm not sure what other solution would have worked. After all, if we were to just go into Vietnam and set up a real democracy, then of course we would be considered imperialist. Isn't that the flip side to the argument. That we're always trying to be imperialist, even when we're getting shot at for delivering rice to hungry Somalis?

Hmmm...So do you have a better idea? If so please tell. I'd like to know how you would've stopped the Iranians from gobbling up the middle east during the height of the fundamentalist fevor.

I wouldn't write a book about it though. We all know what happend to Salmon Rushdie when he writes a book.

My last conviction was 10 years ago. On my 17th birthday. It was felony burglary. Also a felony Malicious Mischief. I've had it expunged from my record. So yes, I can vote. I can join the military.
