Even though I'm not one of Jehovah's Witnesses anymore, there are some words of wisdom in the Bible that I still place faith in.

Such as, "Do not put your trust in nobles, Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs." Ps. 146:3

"I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. it does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step."

If anyone thinks George Bush or any other man is going to solve the worlds problems, they are a fool. Bush will not bring peace to the Middle East or the world. There will be war, crime and terror until the time comes when man exists no more. For all those who think the USA is better off with Bush as president, I say to you this: By December of 2004 the USA will not be the same - in fact, I predict martial law in effect by 12/04. I hope you all are enjoying your SUV's and 50 Cent albums, because times are changing and Bush will lead this country into the biggest Depression ever if things don't change. And from the looks of it, people are still blind to the extreme degree of deciet going on in this country and still support the atrocities and unwise decisions that have been happening in this country for years (not just limited to Bush). The USA is just like the mighty civilization of Rome - too proud and haughty to realize we're not invincible. The good thing about the political system of the USA is the check and balance of the right vs. left. We need the influence of both parties to be successful, not just one of them. Currently we need the influence of the left to repair our relationship with other countries, because if not we will have no friends/support in a time of need, and that time of need is coming up soon. We need the world, and the world needs us, therefore we should work together positively with other nations.

Just my opinions, of course I could be proven wrong. Time will tell.

Change of "look" after leaving the organization

i was wondering how many men here let their beard grow, when they decided to quit the organization.

since having a beard in the jw's is not permitted, it would seem appropriate to let one's beard grow just to show that we don't go by their rules anymore.

maybe for others it was growing a mustache or maybe shaving their head.. did you change your "look" right after leaving the organization?.

i've changed quite a bit. shoulder length dredlocks, ear rings, two tattoos and pierced nipples. i might loose the piercings soon though....

be serious this is to win the minds of american voters not to polerize them against you.

otherwise it's a plug for him.. i think that the one real weakness is unemployment in america.

About the president and his effect on the economy....would we have such a big deficit had we not gone to war in Iraq? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this war and occupation is not having a positive effect at ALL on the economy. Look how even before the war started gas prices went up. I don't know much about economics either, but I don't think the war is helping the economy one bit.

i think saint satan hit the nail on the head. however, i do believe that good things are happening over there. no question the soldiers are working hard to get things running properly and what not. at any rate it's always interesting to read first hand accounts, other than what you see in mainstream media...

anytime something went wrong in the world with an individual, they would use them as example over and over and over again.. the most common one i heard was brother a got into big trouble with __________ (insert problem here, pick any one), see this is what happens when you leave the organization.. so how many jw's will be saying ............. "did you hear what happened to kobe, big successful athlete, see he didn't have god's organization and satan got him.".

i wonder how many jw parents especially in the la area will make their kids stop wearing number 8. he did and admit to committing adultrey.

sexual assault, i don't think so.

i don't see how anyone can say it was or wasn't a setup. it's all speculation at this point. i don't think it's fair for women to bash him prematurely - wait until it's been proven he raped her. So far he's innocent until proven guilty.

And don't forget men aren't the only ones that cheat on their spouses!

if Bin Laden y Al Qaeda were responsible for this, why didn't they fess up to it like they claim responsibility for it like they've done with other attacks? The article i read bin laden said he didn't have anything to do with it, but he was pleased with what he saw.

personally, i think the simple fact that the bush family and bin laden families have done business together tells the whole story right there. especially seeing how bin laden got away. if there were 1 or 2 weird things about 9/11 i'd probably dismiss them, but 20?

So, what REALLY happened on September 11, a.k.a. the unknowns...???

it's getting on to almost two years since the events of september 11, and it is striking how little we know about what happened: .

we don't know the real names of any of the hijackers.. we don't know what countries they came from.. we don't know who planned and organized the terrorism.. we don't know who financed it.. we have no idea what actually happened at the pentagon (but i know a boeing 757 didn't go through this hole).

normal video tapes of and from the pentagon building, which should have shown what happened, have never been released (except for one, which poses more questions than it answers).

Not to mention the things that just seem screwy about the whole thing.

Like how they found one of the dudes passport amongst the debris.

Or how the engineers were totally surprised the buildings fell because they designed them to withstand the impact of a jet airliner.

Or the manner in which they fell, and surrounding buildings.

Evidently a lot of people called in sick that day. And who was that ex-FBI agent who was re-assigned to the WTC weeks before and died there?

What happened to the black boxes of the planes?

Why was the WTC rubble rushed off to the dumps before tests could be done on the area?

Too many coincidents and gray areas if you ask me.

9/11 has "DIRTY SCANDAL" written all over it.

at walter reed medical center in washington dc recently the sergeant major of the army, jack tilley, was with a group of people visiting the wounded soldiers.

he saw a special forces soldier who had lost his right hand and suffered severe wounds of his face and side of his body.

the sma wanted to honor him and show him respect without offending, but what can you say or do in such a situation that will encourage and uplift?

And btw, if intelligence is merely someone's "educated guess" should that justify war with another country? You don't make your move until your positive, cuz if you end up being wrong, you go down, and you go down HARD. better to wait for the facts, don't you think?

I mean, geez...what good did the war do? We don't know where Sadaam OR the weapons are. Now instead of him being in power and we're able to spy on him, he's disappeared w/ the weapons and we don't have ANY clue what he's up to. Please do tell me how this is a good thing because I'm dying to understand the whole logic. I think we're worse off now cuz we've pissed him off - he probably would've been content building statues of himself for another 10 years. He wouldn't of gone on some offensive attack against America if we left him alone. As for the Iraqi people and liberating them....those poor people had to put up with a lot of BS under sadaam, but they don't look much happier now than then. At least they had running water then. If we could fix their whole living conditions over there I'd feel a lot better about the war, but currently it just doesn't make any sense to my line of logic.

I try to see through the eyes of a Republican...what am I, too logical?
