bTS, I've seen a lot of small business fold. I see businesses last a few months and they are gone. You can't tell me they made any money. I'll bet many have lost their life savings in a shot for success.
If the employers want to help their employers out, I think that's a good thing.

Good point, Purps. The owners could close, and they would all be out of a job. They at least showed that they truly love working for these folks. Not every employer is a bad a$$.

We're not getting any of this yet in New England, but are expecting snow tonight and tomorrow. I'll take the snow any day, instead of the ice storm that you guys got in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
We've had ice storms here before, and I know the damage they can cause.....much more than a snow storm. I hope it's winding down for you people.

there is what seems to be an urban myth among jws that they are required by law to have a flag at the kh, so they put it in a hidden spot just to be compliant.. this seems to be a misinterpretation of us flag code, which requires display in public buildings.
Elsewhere said..."There are absolutely NO laws regarding the display or treatment of flags."
I don't know if this is a law, but I've been told that when you want to dispose of an old worn out American Flag, you are supposed to take it to an American Legion Hall, and they will collect these and burn them. (which I find odd).
