Miraculous news about my daugher, Ali
by coffee_black init's a little over a year since my daughter was diagnosed with end stage congestive heart failure due to a virus.
her dr. was talking heart transplant then.. i almost lost her 3 times over the past year due to complications.
2011 was a tough year to put it mildly.

Is it possible to be friends with a devout Jehovah's Witness?
by losthobbit injust wondering if it's possible for a non-religious person like me to be friends with a devout jehovah's witness.
as i understand they don't like to mix with us lower life forms.
any thoughts?.

Losthobbit, if you gave your friend "Crisis of Conscience" and your friend told another j.w. about it, the other j.w.(s) would make him or her throw that book away, or give it back, and would strongly advize your friend not to "associate" with you any more.
So, it's a good idea, except you could lose your friend for good, if it doesn't work out. I don't now what advice to tell you other than that.

Christian group claims Armagedon on Friday 21st October....don't plan your weekend!!
by Witness 007 inharold camping's religious group claimed armagedon was coming in may 21st 2011...he said he was "flabbergasted" it didn't happen and said that it was a "spritual judgement day" and the end would occur on october 21st 2011......so i will see you all in hell.

the other day, though, i was remembering my early days of posting (since 2004) and ones i had corresponded with..... so many wonderful people who have contributed their opinions on this forum, and sent good wishes to others throughout the years.

Do you ever suffer from this in your sleep or is it just me?
by highdose inlast night at 2am i was awoken by the sound of cuboards in the room next to mine being opened and iteams falling out of them.
it terrifiled me, i lay awake listening further for hours in case the burgalars tried anything else.... when the morning came i went into that room, to find it all as it should be... nothing disturbed at all... no break in at all.. this has happened several times to me over the past few years.
no its not the neighbours i live in a deatched house.

Instead of waking up "in a dark room," it might help to have a night light in there. Might not be so scary when you do wake up, and may help relieve some of the stress.

we have 4 kids, he ain't going to see them before the grim reaper comes lookin for him.
my job skills are well in demand in alberta canada so that's our next move, we are getting out of the uk sinking ship asap, we have family in alberta who will sponsor us so i think it's time to leave and make a new start for our kids, as their aren't no jobs in the uk for them now even with university qualifications behind them.

Well, looks like I was wrong. I guess going to a Catholic Preists funeral really IS a "conscience matter". It's okay that I am wrong. I can accept it.
What really matters is, I got the "truth" from you people, and that's what counts. That's what I wanted. Thank you all for your honesty.
