is there a bible verse that says "jehovah hates" a hypocryte?.
i really need to know this.
it's very important to me.. thanks.. hubert.
Are there any Bible verses that it says that "Jehovah hates......Liars, fornicators, and so on?" What actual verses are there, and where can I find them?
I am trying to tie in "Jehovah hates" with lying, hypocrytes, two faced, twisted, and things like that.

this is probably going to be a long post, since i am going to be added some parts of our conversations on facebook.
my mother has been involved sort of with the jw's, since she was younger.
so she's always kind of believed in their stuff.
I think the best thing to try here is "Losthobbit's" suggestion.
A history study. Try to get your Mom to do a history study of the J.W. "religion". Don't call it a cult. Even tell her "If you can convince me that the J.W.'s had it right from the beginning, I might come around to the religion".
I know, it's a lie, but j.w.'s lie too, to "protect the organization". So, why can't you, to draw out your loved ones from it?
Then like "lost" says, let HER find the answers. Give her the impression that you are really interested. When you study a certain subject, let HER do the research. I think in time, with this approach, you may get some results. Good luck.

i've read it twice, and also "in search of christian freedom".
that's probably why i wasn't "afraid" to read it.. my question, which has bothered me for years is...how do you get a j.w.
to read crisis of conscience?
Well, looks like I was looking for that "magic bullet" again. I'll just keep hoping for now.
Thanks for all the advice, friends.
Ding, these are keepers. Thanks.

"Hence, conversations about Mormons, and what fears and phobias that Mormons have (fear of apostate literature) can be helpful. If they can see that this is 'silly', it may start to create cognitive dissonance, which can lead to reflection".
Been there, done that, "Leavingwt". Didn't work. But, thanks for the advice.
I used to send her stuff about Mormons (that mirrored the W.T. stance) and all I got back was, "Dad, I know what you are trying to do". After that, I got a "stearn warning".....back off or lose us. So, I backed off. She knows where I'm coming from, unfortunately.

i just started in sales recently and have been really good at it.
of course, i grew up a jw, lol.. anyways, i was working on closing an account and took another guy at my work with me to go over the specifications and get quotes and that sort of thing.
well, after the meeting he called and emailed her to ask further questions without my knowledge.. so, i called her yesterday and she completely flipped out about the way he treated her saying that he was pressuring her and bullying her.
Cognac, you may have lost that account, but might have not lost the client for you're company.
For sure, this lady won't have anything to do with your coworker.
Something similar to that happened to me many years ago. I wanted to but a new pickup truck from a dealer. The sales person that I dealt with tried to sell me a truck that was damaged (side window was broken into, radio was stolen, door was replaced). How I noticed was the passenger side window had a vent window in it, but the driver's side didn't.
When I asked why this happened, I was given the run around by the sales person, but wasn't told that the truck was broken into, which was the reason for the door change. (Previous door was damaged, also). When I found out the truck was broken into, I called and said I wanted my deposit back, because the salesperson lied to me, and I didn't want to deal with them anymore. The manager called me and told me he would like to have me come down and talk to a different sales person, and see if it can be cleared up. I said okay, as long as I don't have to deal with the first sales person. I went back, everything went well,, and I bought the truck.
So, like i said before, you may have lost the account, no fault of yourself, but you still have a good chance of keeping the client, if you play your cards right. At least your employer will be happy, and that will be a "feather in your cap".
As for your co worker, keep him out of any deals you are working on. Don't ever take him with you to a new or old client.

Yes, "leavingwt", I read Combating Mind Control and Releasing the Bonds, also. But even though, it's hard to figure out when the best time would be.
I know that if the j.w. starts to have doubts, that would probably be in "the best time" category, but I am curious if anyone found other situations where they were able to give the book to a j.w. and get them to read it, instead of throwing it away or burning it. I only have one copy, and I'd like to get it back if my daughter read it, in case I need it for another family member, so I don't want to have it thrown out.

I've read it twice, and also "In search of Christian Freedom". However, I was never a J.W. That's probably why I wasn't "afraid" to read it.
My question, which has bothered me for years is...How do you get a j.w. to read Crisis of Conscience? At what point in time is "the best" time to ask them to read it?
My daughter and her hubby are involved with them, and that's why I am asking this. She won't respond to anything I tell her about the Watchtower Org., so I can't get through to her that way. I need to know when is the "right time".
Thanks.
