  When did you stop growing ?

  it's seems that people can grow about until they are 25 (unless a sickness still make them grow).

  i've stop growing at 12, i'm the same size since then 5'5'.

  also they told me that anyway having a baby at 14 would had stop me growing anyway that i should have been taller !

  I meant the imperialist measures LT used (feet, inches). I'm only familiar with the continental ones (metres, centimeters). Ok, I know an inch is some 3.5 cm and a foot is about 30 cms (?), but I don't feel like computing it right now :-).

  I had a friend who suffered giantism (as did his father before him). He had 4" (10cm) of bone taken out of each thigh, and later found that his legs started bowing. He was 7'1" when he stopped growing, and then sagged back to 6'11".

  do ugly people have a right to normal lives - relationships, marriage, families?.

  about half of us must be below "average" attractiveness.

  maybe xjws are on average more gorgeous than the general population.. what can you tell about a person by their facial beauty or lack of it?

  If you take all the "average" peoiple out of the picture, what's left must necessarily be half below and half above average. But what have statistics ever proved, in the subject of beauty?

  Slightly off topic, but these statements are not necessarily true. There is only one measure of central tendency - the median, which works like this regardless of the distribution. Other measures such as the mean and the mode are much more sensitive to the distribution curve. So the big assumption you seem to be making is that beauty has a more or less normal distribution. (there are very few extreme cases)

  From what I know intelligence for one, especially with men is not normally distributed.

  Good point. Unfortunately it's simply not cost-effective for software developers to spend lots of time optimizing code. It's not a *necessity* any more.

  The overarching "objective" view is fair and just, but we can't see life from that angle, because the picture is too large and interconnecting.
  The here-and-now "subjective" view is all we have to play with, and it's mightily confusing...

  
  
  Exactly what I meant. I tend to stick with the latter aspect of your dualistic approach. Perhaps due to some nasty experiences which have dimmed my picture.

  I used to have Commodore 64 (64K RAM). Is this VIC thing an older model?
  
  I remeber I could play some really cool games on it.
