  was it really so peaceful before 1914?.

  the society loves to claim there was an unprecedented amount of peace prior to 1914 and that wwi was a complete shock to the world when it began.

  There are a great many historians who discuss the world from 1848 (time of the european revolutions) and 1871 (time of eurpoean nation building) and how those events directly affected world war I. The world was poised for decades for a war to occur. It was anything but a surprise.

  That's simple - Satan and his buddies had calculated the 2520 years starting from 607 BCE. They arrived at 1914 and hence the build-up to make grounds for fulfilling the signs of the end.

  Haha, seems to make sense but not really - it's poles apart from reality. All the other reptiles in the Bible get wacked by Jehovah, Jesus or (sic!) Christ's brothers - so no, thank you. The Bible on the whole has a clear anti-reptilian agenda. There's one thing I don't get though. If Sydlik is a Polish lizard, how is he going to help Jesus kill Satan - the Greater Lizard?

  firpo carr argues that while many white apostates claim to highlight so-called 'racist' remarks and terminology in the watchtower literature, most such apostates are in fact white and have little real interest in black issues.

  they are only interested in the issue in so far as they can use it to promote white anti-witness propaganda, whereas a high percentage of loyal witnesses are black.

  i know that all the terms of my topic are debatable: apostacy is a witness term of derogation; apostates probably are mostly liberal and not racist (essentially); and they are not a 'movement' in any case.

  Your membranes are falling off your eyes, Matt. Unlike humans, lizards are cold-blooded (or whaddya call it). Warm blood would kill lizard witnesses. That's why they avoid it. It's all part of the Reptilian Agenda.

  I'm sorry to point it out but there are ten times more lizard-wizard witnesses than there are lizard-wizard apostates. Can you even name any apostates on this board who you suspect to secretly drop lizard membranes on their eyes when nobody's watching? Ha! Get your stats right, dude ;@).

  Is "apostasy" a "movement"? E.g. do people really feel this DB is "an apostate organization"? LOL. If not, how are "apostates" organized into a movement?
  Are "apostates" racist?
  Are "witnesses predominantly black"?
  Now, how is the original question worth discussing if you consider the sub-questions above?
  Actually, if anything I can sense some racist undertones in SBF's claims ("apostates are predominantly white - witnesses predominantly black").

  Actually the Polish plumber argument is an example of the utter idiocy of some West European political rhetoric. What does it have to to do with the EU constitution in the first place? Last time I read about it there were less than 50 Polish plumbers in France. I'm really sorry for those Frenchies who voted against the constitutional treaty on the grounds of le plombier polonese.

  I'm not an expert on evolution, but I'd say this question is rather easy to answer. There are hundreds of dangerous every-day situations which you can avoid if somebody warns you. Basically language allows you to communicate about abstract situations. Plus, knowledge and culture gained by one generation are passed down to the next one largely thanks to language. The benefits of speech are really worth paying the price of an occasional choking, which is rarely mortal anyway.
