You're definitely using too many wordsa and it doesn't make you look more convincing. BTW your megalomania is disgusting. Read the sermon on the mount to see how a decent messiah shoud do his job of preaching... And you missed a lot of my points too.

One thing you are saying is that: because the world is very unstable, God can use the UN to destroy it, and then kill off billions of people..

You could be a cheap fiction writer if you give up your messianic mission one day :). Something like the Tom Clancy of apocalyptic speculations. Except that you're much less convincing.

Anyway, one point you made is interesting:

So if the religion, say the Vatican and the witness organization which are organized and have corporations, can be legally outlawed from operating and their funds frozen and that would essentially be the end of it, especially if their leaders and lawyers are locked up. Who will put out the "Awake!" magazine? Nobody!

However, typically only religious minorities can be outlawed easily by the state. This is often inspired by religious majorities. JW situation in Moscow is a point in case (with the Orthodox Church inspiring the ban behind the scenes). Plus, even if religious majorities get outlawed (the Catholic Church in Poland under communism is one such example), the result is that people only become much more religiously determined and extreme than in times of relative freedom.

And even when JWs were jailed for their denomination here in Poland the Awake magazine was still put out here (secretely though).

As for the rest of the stuff you wrote. Is there anything good I can say? Thank you for being specific. Now I can take your word for it, rabbi! :).

Yes, today's UN might not be empowered to ban religion, but that's today! That's before an impending world crisis. In order to stop violence in the name of religion, one sure way to do it is to ban ALL meetings in the name of religion. Not public meetings of any kind by any group. That's marshal law.

American politicians know better than you that terrorism is the result of their policies in the Middle East (such as supporting Israel). The Palestinians don't blow themselves up because their religion tells them to do so. They do it in the hope of preventing the Israelis from stealing their land.

But most religious terrorist organizations, already banned, have formed secret societies already, so the ban on religion won't really affect them!!! It just affects the blind masses manipulated by the people at the top.

Your understanding of sociological history isn't as impressive as your chronological obssessions, rabbi. "The blind masses" form secret societies when faced with opposition. Take the example of some European countries (notably Poland, but also France) where nation-wide resistance was organized under Nazi occupation. Plus, tell me exactly how you imagine replacing all democratic governments with totalitarian ones in countries like Sweden, France, USA, Germany, etc. I don't mean just one country. I mean all countries at the same time. Don't you think those governments would have to be supported by what you call "the blind masses"?

And stop turning your failures into successes. You misspelled "martial law" as "marshal law", and somebody pointed it out to you in one of the other posts. Now you capitalize MARSHAL LAW to make the impression it was intentional - because the rabbi can't be wrong - this is really disgusting JC. You need help.

As for the end of religion worldwide - I think it may happen in some western countries. Gradually. And we certainly won't be the ones to witness the destruction of the last church/temple in the world.

1) The idea of the UN banning all religion worldwide was invented or at least most heavily promoted by the WTS. As we all know the WTS has recently dicredited this idea by associating itself with the UN. By associating itself with the UN they probably hoped to be able to strengthen there position as a religious organization. Just look at the articles they included in the Awake issues which were most likely sent to the DPI to fulfill the conditions of their association.

2) The so called United Nations are totally incapable of even banning the production of weapons of mass destruction in a single country like North Korea. How are they supposed to annihilate religion worldwide (in some 200 countries simultaneously)? Reminds me of Monty Python's "Surround everyone with everything we've got!". Religion is not a political institution like the former Soviet Union, and it can't be abolished just like that. It is deeply entrenched in people's mindset.

3) Does anyone of you really think that whatever you call "the United Nations" can pas a resolution which says: "Hey you people of the world! Africans, Asians, Europeans, Americans and Australians. Teeth-brushing is banned as of tomorrow!". If you think this is possible, please tell me how it could be implemented. I think most people would rather have bad teeth than turn atheist. Anyone who thinks banning religion is possible, pease tell me exactly how this idea is to be implemented and who exactly would implement it.

recently a poster commented that pastor russell may have clapped his hands two days too soon because the gentile tiems were not supposed to end until october 4/5, 1914. i guess october 4/5 is the date now given (though i haven't seen it in print, being unfamiliar with the newer publications), whereas russell was satisfied to have passed october 1.. one would assume that, as the downfall of the judean kingdom (supposedly in 607 bce) was the beginning of the gentile times, that whenever they ended in 1914 would be the date that would correspond to the overthrow in 607 bce.

(it would, given all the society's presuppositions, be difficult to come up with an exact date, as the hebrew calendar is a lunar calendar and must be periodically adjusted to keep it in synch with the solar year.

) after all, god's words to zedekiah (the last judean king) are usually quoted to support the idea that the gentile times began when that king lost his crown and the kingdom authority would be held in abeyance until "he comes whose right it is" - understood to be christ jesus at the parousia.

That's my motto too.

Every time I hear people speculating about an ambiguous Bible passage usually based on an ancient metaphor or on Jewish wishful thinking (Jerusalem will flourish again, blablabla), I imagine all those poor billions of people around the world, who have never had the chance to know WTS or adventist teachings. Why hasn't God let them learn about all those 'modern fulfilments'???

I think there is one major reason why so many religious Westerners throughout centuries have believed in their living in 'the times of the end' or anything to that effect. It's because we are all living in the time of our end.

We will all perish one day, just like our ancestors. It's not that obvious for so many of you, though. You seem to think: How can the universe go on without me??? Ok, it may last 20-25 years after I die (temporarily), but not much longer, right? YOu're being megalomaniac! Cementaries are full of irreplaceable people like you!!! (This also refers to some of you who think they are the modern (black - that's fine - why not, but transsexual - wow, why yes????) messiah :), as I learnt recently while browsing some of the older posts here. Nothing personal - I'm just taking what some of you have said here at face value... Maybe I'm naive...

It goes on and on for three chapters (Ezekiel 40-43)!!
