Good point. Unfortunately it's simply not cost-effective for software developers to spend lots of time optimizing code. It's not a *necessity* any more.

Yes, I do have "a ram envy". All EWE need to do to impress me is say you have 3 Gigs of RAM.
I have two machines. The better one which I use as a server and for testing algorithms has 2Gigs. I thought it's a lot. But some of you have more than that (under74)!
