  does anyone have the factual information concerning the jw's in romania?

  i believe there were many witnesses serving under ban in romania for years and years while the communists were in power.

  then in 1989 when the country revolted against ceausescu and communism was overthrown, the ban on the witnesses was lifted and they could now worship freely.

  JWs are known as "The Christian Congregation".
  
  not really. that's only one of their trademarks. JW's are known as the "bible students" here about.. or "the jehovers". somehow people just can't remember the name "jehovah's witnesses". flawed marketing?

  the JWs are technically an offshoot of the Bible Students
  
  that's right of course. i don't make much effort on being all too correct about the issue anymore.
  
  JWs have another version though. russel's their founder (locked away though, almost noone knows his teachings bout pyramids et al) and the "russelites" who were actually following the person CTR instead of JG/JC/WTS broke away from the truth.

  splits/schisms/heresies like this still are very interesting. as JWs claim to be the only ones who have the "truth", many can't understand how someone would actually sincerely reject it and not believe it anymore. this is mostly based on disfellowshipped folks who now lead a "worldly" lifestyle but still believe the whole dogma. the rest is demonized scum.
  
  the early split of the bible students is the "evil slave", or so an old brother told me. i've never heard of later splits though. this indeed is very interesting. because it supports the fact that if russel, rutherford, knorr, even franz maybe, if they'd be resurrected now, they'd be disfellowshipped for apostasy right away and vice versa.

  skeptics also argue that ther is no evidence that a flood like this happened at all. but to god everything is possible. he want's us to have faith, not knowledge. so if he decided to remove all evidence, who are we to question him? there's not even evidence that god exists, so what? ;-)

  the written history of the great flood and noah's ark is one of the greatest wonders recorded in our almighty god's word, the holy bible.
  
  skeptics would reason that noah couldn't have brought all kinds of animals to one place. skeptics also reason that they wouldn't fit into the ark. that there wouldn't have been enough space for all the food. that carnivores would have eaten the other animals. that many animals would have died because there was no space to move.
  
  while these claims sound very reasonable, skeptics forget one thing: god's word is always correct.

  Is that the Almighty with a capital G or without? Is it your (g)od or really our (G)od?
  
  it's with a capital A and a capital G and a capital D. as in Alnighty GoD. i don't know how i commited the sin of writing these holy words in such a disrespectful manner. i'll ask for forgiveness and set the right steps to show my repenting attitude.
