2034? nope... not in the mags not in a talk. some of you "apostates" read too much between the lines. 2034 would be far too much time left anyway to keep the r&f busy.

Races - where do they come from?
by googlemagoogle inthis one goes out to all the evolution maniacs out there, king james bible bumpers are also welcome to present their view.
even when i still believed in the bible as god's word, i never understood how (at least) three races came from 2 persons.
i sometimes thought, maybe adam was black and eve white, but where does the mongol race come from then?

i just started to think about one thing: how long does it take for a people to develop their own characteristics?
for example in case the first human beings had dark skin and hair, how long would it take until one of them gets light skin and blond hair? or even simpler... how long does it take for one african tribe to develop the characteristics of tall people while another tribe has small people.
i'm just guessing, but it must be an awful long time... can anyone provide some sources or links to that topic?
if the answer is somewhere around "thousands of years" it could perfectly be used to dismiss the creationist/jw ~6000 years (human) history. -

by Midget-Sasquatch inyesterday's news on apple's transition to intel processors, made me.

Does the Ransom Sacrifice doctrine add up?
by nicolaou incommon to almost all flavours of the christian faith is the teaching of the ransom.
that the sacrifice of jesus' perfect human life paid back the debt of the perfect human life which our forefather adam had forfeited.. but is it truly a 'corresponding sacrifice'?.
points to consider:.

the ransom sacrifice doctrine is one of the most illogical doctrines.
one can't pay a ransom to himself. because of this some early church authors thought, the ransom was payed to the devil. but the wts (and most if not all of christianity) does not teach this. -

constantine was not an arianist. at one time he pushed the arians, then the other way around.
btw, what do you really want to say with your posts? just because republicans are humans doesn't mean that every human being is republican. -

Because were the Goths etc Arianists, does that make them jws?
of course not. arianism is mainly about unitarianism. there are plenty of unitarians out there. jws are unitarians, but unitarians are not necessarily jws. -

Would You Feel Safe Visiting A Muslim Country?
by Englishman in..just wondering.. i'd thought of maybe visiting somewhere like turkey later this year.
i believe it's absolutely stunning.
plus, the people are said to be very pleasant too.
-
googlemagoogle
a muslim country? or do you mean a "third world" country?
if it's for crime or prejudices you better not set foot on south america or africa either. and it very much depends on WHERE in that country you'll go.
wouldn't call turkey a muslim country, but it would make a huge difference ir you go to istanbul or to village grzmüz in the mountains.
as for how men treat women, that's also not that much to do with islam. go to mexico or maybe italy you'll most probably find the same situation.
and feeling safe... most people only feel safe at home i guess. i'd feel as safe going to dubai or iran as going to the united states. well i'd feel safer going to dubai that is. -
