There are some devices that generate real random numbers using this 'features' of nature.

does "randomness" exist?
by googlemagoogle inthis is maybe largely parallel to the "free will" debate.
or if there is such thing like "chance".
many computer languages have a math function "random()".

many computer languages have a math function "random()". this function usually returns a number in no particular pattern. or so it seems. in fact it's all pseudorandom. there are formulas and processes running within the function that are calculating the next number to return.
i believe "coincidence" is a word we use for unexpected events, that in the larger image are only a logical consequence of other events we maybe do not even know of.
actually it's more of an observation than a belief. and this of course has a huge influence on my view of things, like evolution for example. it's just a logical process. no randomness there.
many times i heard theists say: i just can't accept that everything was created by chance. you don't need to accept that. nothing was created by chance. -

In each of our dreams, we're the only ones that know about that part of the house.
then it can't be the same house. if you're the only one knowing it, you'r relatives can't possibly know it. -

Job celebrated Birthdays!!!
by misspeaches inconsider this - job, blameless and upright actually celebrated birthdays with his family.. according to the new world translation job 1:4,5 says this - .
4 and his sons went and held a banquet at the house of each one on his own day; and they sent and invited their three sisters to eat and drink with them.
5 and it would occur that when the banquet days had gone round the circuit, job would send and sanctify them; and he got up early in the morning and offered up burnt sacrifices according to the number of all of them; for, said job, maybe my sons have sinned and have cursed god in their heart.

One was their "Name Day".
here people also have "name days". every day on the calendar has a name assigned to it. usually some saint. if you have the same name, you celebrate that day. -

Insecure posters
by misguided ini wonder if it's just me, or if other posters are like this.
do any of you start to type a post, then hit the back button, or quit your post because your afraid of saying something stupid or "wrong," or reread some of your previous posts and wonder, what you were thinking when you posted it?.
i find most people on this board more than willing to accept you for whatever you say in a post, but i still frequently shy away from hitting that 'submit post' button.. rose (pushing the submit button before chickening out again)

New Bethel/Missionary Requirements.
by Doubtfully Yours in.
when they announced the meetings for aspiring bethelites and missionaries, they've lowered the ages of admittance.. also, to become a bethelite the person doesn't need to be a pioneer any longer.
any publisher in good standing, male or female, was encourage to attend such recruiting meeting.. i guess the need is greater now.. dy

on our district convention the minimum age for bethel was taken away at all... i think they want them right out of school. missionaries have some minimum age though. i think something about 30 or so.
