Thank you kindly! I grew up listening to (and loving) such things as "I am the very model of a modern Major General" from Gilbert & Sullivan, Anthony Newley & Leslie Bricusse - clever internal rhyme schemes simply fascinated me.
I memorized TROUBLE from the Music Man. Poetry and songwriting should (IMHO) contain entertaining rhyme schemes and jaunty rhythm. But heck- that's just me.
Bricusse gave us Doctor Doolittle's Academy Award winning song:
"If I could talk to the animals, just imagine it
Imagine talking to a tiger, chatting to a cheetah
What a neat achievement that would be!"
