  Social Security and Jws

  i am a severly disabled adult who receives disability benefits.. i understand sometime ago the watchtower said in one of its magazine(probably watchtower)that a smaller pertentage(sic)of jws claimed the dole in france(this was, i believe during the problems with the french government)as opposed to a higher pertentage(sic)of roman catholic etc etc claiming the dole.. in view of what paul says in one of his letter`he that doesn't work, shall not eat' should jws be claiming the dole if they truly follow the bible.

  discuss.. i believe a social security system should provide for the disabled and pensioners.

  (i don't think the present uk social security system will survive in its present form with accelerting(sic)costs etc etc)

  I am so severly disabled I don't see the DSS compelling me to work.
  However I am a bit worried(at least when I wrote the post)what the social Security `reforms' MIGHT MEAN FOR ME.

  Laura lillie? or whatever your name is, I am not a JW.

  My brother John and his wife do say I should work and putting pressure on me, saying they paid lots of tax(es),as if I wasn't totally deserving(I don't seem to terribly good on the basics/nitty/gritty)as well as being hemiplegic/elipeptic.

  I agree with Nytelecom1 and alliwannadoislive.

  I do dislike the passive side of being a benefit receipt.

  Location of Ophir?

  ophir has been located in various places, i believe i may have worked out where.. i understand that peacocks and silver come from ophir which was a port.. the watchtower quotes from the catholic encylopaedia saying that ophir was in zimbabwe!.

  it obviously isn't because zimbabwe is not by the coast so can't be a port!.

  i humbly suggest the watchtower reads the bible and apply some commonsense!.

  -which is the light of the world?'..

  Alse it uses an offensive term for members of a certain non-Christian religious group.

  (It is believed that people in the West fermented water to make it drinkable whereas people in the East boiled their water.

  a recent awake article was about the magnificence of niagra falls and how it straddles the canadian and u.s. borders.

  in the february 22nd issue of the awake in "from the readers" at the back, one of the readers complained, "you (the awake) said that the erosion of the river gorge has taken place over the past 12,000 years.

  this would not tie in with the bible's account of a global deluge.".

  The JWs still say that human history started about 4,000 BC.

  I have heard one JW say so!
