  Big changes after the new tract?

  one of my jw friends who still talks to me said this was the last tract that will be released from the faithfull discreet slave and that after the tract has been released there will be some major changes and for everyone not to be affraid.

  does anyone have an idea of what this might be?

  this gets me a little curious!.

  Disfellowshipping for Gluttony?

  is that possible?..have there been any cases like this?.

  my family have been on my case about me hanging around with people (non-jw family) that like to drink alot.

  they went as far as to call me "a drunk"...now i do admit that i have been gotten drunk before on occasion, but i am not a drunk or an alcoholic.. so, i told my mother (obese) that if i were "a drunk" for getting drunk from time to time (not every day), then can she be considered "a glutton", for eating to much, obese, having health problems, all because of the way she eats?

  Wow, I went to this year's District Assembly, and i dont remember that!

  I guess it because there are less overweight people in Europe, the FATASS american JW's would have an fit.

  I question a lot of things nad come to the conclusion that 'the truth' is flawed.

  But, I try not tlet them know what i am thinking or what i have learmed about the WT, not yet anyway...there is still along way for me to go before i can drop a bomb like that...Heck my Mother will have a heart attack.

  well christimas will soon be here !!.

  gadget did a great job of organising the forum gift exchange the last couple of years so i thought i would give him a break and volunteer to organise it this year.. for those that are new basically what it involves is that those who want to join in will post to this thread and then pm me their name and address.

  Well, all i am saying is if you can disfellowship for drunkeness, proven by your actions caused by the affects of alcohol

  Why can you disfellowship for gluttony (eating excessively), proven by the adverse affects like Obesity, medical problems (HBP & Cholestorol), and other physical ailments?

  And another thing, Can unhealthy eating be thrown in with the argument for 'disfellowshipping for smoking'?

  I am not saying that all people who are obese is the direct result of Gluttony, but we have to admit a great percent of those obese are because of the inabilty to control what and how much we eat.

  So, am i using the right logic/analogy on this matter?

  I am a work in progress.

  I just starting taking Boxing lessons, something i would not have done before.. but always wanted to.

  I was always such a wuss, never got into fights and shy'd away from any confrontation, I dont know how to defend myself let alone protect someone else, when needed. Hell, i punch like a girl (i said Hell...funny) how pathetic is that.

  I dont care what they say i am going to learn to kick ass, and take names too....(what ever that means)
