  a month ago i was reinstated as a jehovah’s witness.

  he was not disfellowshipped.

  in my meeting i was told that i could not become involved with the man that i committed a sin with, which is adultery once i’m reinstated.

  so some ex-jws and i were at dinner last night talking about how some of the ones baptized this year were so young.

  a few under the age of 10!!

  can you imagine if a kid got dfd at that age.... would the congregation shun them?

  Do You Think Disfellowshipping Is The Worst Thing About Jehovah’s Witnesses?

  the longer i’m out the more i feel that disfellowshipping is cruel.

  i understand the organization tells parents to not even accept emails or texts from their disfellowshipped children.

  while i was a witness they tried to discourage families from association but there was some leeway if it was considered necessary business to interact.

  Shunning very bad example a friend of mine was recently df because he was sexting and squeezing on his fiance. He was df she was not they got married a week after he was df. Because he was liveing with parents the elders counseled the mom who is a witness not to eat at same table with her son and new daughter in law mind you the df son owns the house and the father who livees there is not a witness that's just cruel
