i got one of the packages today.
it consist of two small boxes, one with a red bucket of candy with a red heart on the front with a caption that says "wishing you a happy valentine's day!
My Husbands Grandmother who is a die hard JW...gives Birthday money to all of us. I still find it funny how she does that. She used to just give it to them in a blank envelope before or after the birthday...Now she has Cards that say Happy Birthday. She is so funny and sweet. It just makes me feel bad that she still believes in it and has people walking all over her. She is such a great wonderful person with a great heart.

I don't think I was harmed completely to a state of despair.
However living a lie, having my family ripped apart, being shunned, important events boycotted, looked at as a disease, being punished for no reason. Treated like you were nothing, being told you were going to die as a teenager. All of this can harm you if it only happen in 1 year. All of this can put a huge weight on your shoulders and make you a very sad person.
I think I was harmed emotionally! I was treated as if I was nothing and did not matter. If your at the age of 16 and you give up on life and do whatever because you think Jehovah does not love you and you will die anyway. It really screws you up. I was told that and it has put a effect on me.

One who is pretty or ugly has nothing to do with the right to lead a normal life. I can't believe you asked this question. Do you have the right to lead a normal life? Do you think you are ugly or pretty? What does you looks have to do with anything?

I remember the saying don't judge a book by its cover. Just because you are Ugly or Pretty has nothing to do with who you really are. Are you better looking than average? I don't think about myself like that. I don't say I am ugly and I don't say I am pretty. I hear comments I am Pretty it doesn't matter to me. I know who I am inside and thats what really matters! I don't know you and I don't know if you are being serious of the questions. I have to say these are the most sad shallow comments and questions I have ever heard. I am ashamed of you if you are serious and it makes my heart sad. Stop looking at people and don't Judge. If I were to judge you today with out seeing you and hearing what you have asked I would say you are heartless shallow and sad. However I don't know you. I don't know anything about you. recently my mother dropped in on us and in front of other people, very nicely handed me some trinkets aka dust collectors for my house and some wts magazines.
the way she handed everything to me at once i just held out my hands and took it all.. i threw the magazines away immediately, i consider them trash and don't even want them around... but then decided exactly what i was going to do.
i am going to buy a yard sale cross or virgin mary statue and give it to my mom.. i specifically told her i don't want any publications and she slipped them in anyways.... so, on that note, she hates any religious icons, i am going to give her something that she doesn't want.
All I can say is GOOD FOR YOU! I know what you mean by thinking nasty funny thoughts in your head. Even though you do not do it ...it still puts a smile on your face and a silent victory with out hurting anyone.
My Sister asked me if I would like some mags...I told her she can bring them over at anytime. However, I aslo told her I wasn't going to plan on reading them. It shut her up. Honesty hurts but it also helps. I am glad for you and you have the will power to stand up for yourself. And if anyone has a problem with it let them because they don't know who you are and what you have gone through. Hell my mother looks like a god damn saint but behind doors its a different story. I hope you have many silent and out loud victories!
