Littleones, welcome on the board.
You sound like one of the best friends anyone could wish for. Be there for her, like you have. Although she may not show or tell you, a friendship like yours, outside of the Borg, is lifesaving. Have you suggested to her that she could come over and visit? Maybe that would make it a bit easier for her, she wouldn't have to make the dicision to move, just to stay with you for a couple of weeks. It might give her some peace.
About the talks, as a sister when you want to give talks on the stage, you sign up with an elder and you get told when and what subjected to prepare for. If you don't want to, you don't have to, although offcourse you'll get some raised eyebrows for not doing them.

well actually it was about two weeks ago now, but i was just talking with another x-jw friend yesterday who commented how significant it was for her.
i'm not particularly political, i don't have strong opinions on politics, but it was pretty cool being free to do something that i had always been taught to believe was a terrible sin.. you see here in new zealand there was a general election held on july 27. all my life i have been in the borg and subsequently never voted, it wasn't allowed.
voting would have made me "part of satan's system of things" and all that.. so for the month or so leading up to the election i paid extra attention to the political situation in the country and made a decision and when the day came, i made my way to the polling place (the local high school hall) and voted.. just thought i'd share that with you all.
First time I voted was May, this year. I stepped into the election office and handed in my voting card. Voting had to be done electronically and since it was my first time, I looked at that thing as if it was from outer space. And I stammered a question on how to proceed, I felt like a real nitwit. But the act of selecting my candidate felt so tremendous good!
I left that office with a brilliant smile, people even stared at me - probably wondering what I had done in that booth....

It is the same, then, with blaming God. He TRIED. And whether you and others wish to accept the TRUTH of that, is up to you.
Guest, the thing that is missing here is the fact that God is almighty. Provided he exists that is. SO, here is an almighty Gd, that tries to help me, but fails? Then why call him God?
If you (God) warn your children not to talk to strangers you do that because you want to protect them and keep them from harm. But, then you child is addressed by a nice lady, and your child is a bit gullable, and is taken in by her sweetness, and your child talks to her none the less. And you (God) are seeing all of this! SO why not stop the entire drama from happening? Why not walk to your child, take her hand, and keep her away from being hurt? God is standing by and watches. Trying to help? O please, almighty ones do not try, they do.

Witchywoman, I can talk to my mum, but not with her, there is this huge JW-wall standing between me and her. In the past, I could tell her everything I felt, now, if I try to explain, she just looks at me, blank. It is not that she is shunning me, she just doesn't understand. And what hurts the most is when she'll say "But sweetie, that they are shunning you is something you knew up front, and yet you left the organization anyway, you choose it".
Trauma, I enjoyed chatting with you too. I'll look for you on chat, when I am awake this time

at the end of part two, i moved to a suburb on the outskirts of one of africas richest cities, johannesburg.
here, suddenly, instead of the pallor and grime of rural south africa, beautiful mansions, bmws, and stylishly dressed people suddenly surrounded us.. .
my family felt a bit left out, since we werent exactly very well off when we arrived.
