I have voted for the first time in my life!
by GermanXJW intoday is a historical day for me.
today i got up early but instead of going to the kh as i used to for years, i went to the election office to vote in the current election for the german bundestag.. for years, i had a political opinion and hoped that "my" representative wins.
this time i did my part to ensure this by voting.. it is a strange feeling: being part of this system.

life and death
by larc inwhen i was a young man, i didn't think about death.
in my 20's, i thought life would go on forever.
now, that i have lived 6 months longer than my father, and my wife is faced with a life threatening situation, my views are quite different.. i have to ask myself what i want to accomplish before i die.

In my twenties, and yet I am thinking on the same subject. I think in the end, all that matters is that you have loved, and are loved. I don't think there is a greater accomplishment in life, than having made a difference in the life of other, a difference for the better. When a loved one dies, he/she is remembered, and by the act of remembrance that deceased person lives on.
Love is all that matters.
