  Is Christmas for Pagans?

  given that so many practises associated with christmas are blatantly christian in origin, is christmas truly for pagans?.

  i know that often there are few christian connotations attributed to it nowadays, in such a secularised society, but history is on record in showing that the whole baby jesus thing is definitely a christian element.

  would any true pagan today want to drink such a mixed cup?.

  I think anyone should be able to enjoy Brit Ekland and pretty lights, regardless of religious persuasion, but get with the game guys! What "true Pagan" would want to get mixed up in such a decadent celebration with such a history of Christian connotations?

  AND with all the paganism involved with Christmas: fir tree, holly, misletoe (not Little Toe) tree decorations, "christmas" lights, feasting, etc., What "true" Christian would want to get involved?

  Actually, I think the Christians are the ones that polluted the holiday in the first place!

  Personally, I don't care. It's a fun holiday and a time when (when my energy permits) allows me to let others know how special they are to me.

  i logged into jwd five years ago today.

  the time has gone by in a flash, and i still enjoy reading the comments from many posters.

  its also good seeing so many new folksthat must show that jehovah is blessing our group.

  I LOVE that song. I used to play it on the piano when I was a teen and my mom would allow it!

  Yes, Grace has saved me. Inpsite of myself. That's why it's Grace.

  Now imagine a stadium of 75,000 people, almost all recoving alcoholics, holding hands and singing that song. Not a dry eye in the place.
