DefD is missed partially because there are those that like him personally
And I bet most of these are men in the 25-35 range. He has a bad attitude toward women and limited or no respect for anyone older than him.

Kid A - yup. Especially since a few of us attended apostate gatherings and rummage sales notorius for reselling demunized items.
I also noticed that he hasn't posted back on "his" thread.

Funky, I understand that side of it too.
We'll see what turns out. This guy is well respected and well connected, and medicine keepers run in families. He may or may not have made that speach.

BTW... Kev is going to sell his sailboat, so now we have a lot of the stuff from the boat at home. The cushons are in the living room corner because I cleaned them and wont' put them back on the boat until I've scotchgarded them AND rainy season is over. Also, our final room to be remodeled (my den/computer/sewing/junk room) is in dire need of remodel as one of our cats has gotten pissed with me and pissed on the ancient green shag carpet in there! SO we need to get a storage unit and have at that room now.

We remodeled our condo last year. It went from late 1970s with rust shag carpet and dark pecan closed in U shaped kitchen for barely 1, to a light airy open floor plan.
Wilson Art laminate flooring in liv-din-kit in a golden oak pattern which hides everything, and gives a sense of flow thru the whole upper floor. We took out the soffits above the kit cabinets, and put cabs all the way to the ceiling (requiring a step ladder but that stores nicely in a niche next to the fridge) we put in gray speckled "granit" composit solid surface countertop, and opened the kitchen into an L with a baking cabinet wall. White appliances. White walls and a retextured celing - no more asbestos popcorn!
Furniture in liv is Mission with red saddle blanket upholstry. We have a travel library wall.
Now I'm getting into Fung Shui and rearranging furniture and adding decor items to balance the room. It's helping alot!
A book I got on the Feng Shui that is very easy to understand and implement is FengShui Demystified by Clear Englebert. It doesnt matter what your furniture or decorating style, it helps with energy flow and balance.
And yes, I LOVE IKEA. But I buy very little because austaire and Danish Modern is not my style!

Reading that DB, even the indians arent sure what to make of it. I actually think the email that started that thread may have happened a year or two ago, before the great tsunami.
My own deeper belief is that the Earth is a living planet. The natural "disasters" are simply the earth doing what she does as a living planet. It is happenstance that humans and animals etc. are in the way when She gets cranky. These "disasters" come in cycles. The hurricane destruction seems to come in 19 year cycles, this being the worst in many cycles, but not totally abnormal. "They" finally realized that El Nino in the Pacific comes in 7 year cycles. A 30 year cycle covers the southern california storms that rage and destroy the coastal areas.
Lack of human understanding and respect for the earth and her PMS is what creates the human tragedy. N.O. should not have been built up the way it was. Actually, the whole mississipi valley should not be developed the way it is, because of the flooding. Proof being the part of N.O. that survived with limited damage being the oldest part of the city which is over 300 years old
That humans today have instantaneous worldwide communication is what makes it seem like the earth is getting "worse".
Ice Age cycles run 9000-15000 years apart, with mini cycles within, and massive world flooding happens when the earth warms and the ice melts.
So what I believe in the most is the processes that the earth goes thru (including the swapping of the magnetic poles) as a living planet. Man just gets in the way.
Funky, your definition of that guy being a Crazy Indian is not a new attitude, and is one that promotes predudice. He believes what he believes, and you don't believe what you don't believe. That makes you a Crazy Irishman! Ha!
