  I believe it depends on the child's personality. Some children you look at in an angry way and they crumble others are much more stuborn. I do not believe in abuse by any means, but I would rather spank a very young one across their behind now if that is what is required to get their attention then watch them grow up disrespecting authority and end up in prison or on drugs. It is an individual decision but never in the heat of the moment.

  i realized, the other day, how far the wt has really gone from the original gospels.

  i was having a minor argument (again) with my mother regarding my no longer being a witness.

  she sarcastically asked me what i did believe in..was i going to go out and join those ... ... catholics?

  I realized, the other day, how far the WT has really gone from the original gospels. I was having a minor argument (again) with my Mother regarding my no longer being a Witness. She sarcastically asked me what I did believe in..Was I going to go out and join those ... ... Catholics? I told her no. I told her I just am Christian and believe in Jesus. She then said "What is all this Jesus talk lately? You sound like those religious nuts." Is not the whole New Testament a history of the early Christians preaching about Jesus? Is not the word Christian from Christ himself? Yet being the "The only true Christians" the WT produces the type of mentality that my Mom has. So sad.

  I am...I am also able to know pray with other sincere Christians who before I would have judged and been uncomfortable in the situation. I also do not believe all my friends and people who I grew to love (who happen to be in the world) are dispensable because someday they are going to be destroyed anyway. I value them and believe that God loves them and they are valuable to him. So much more peace of mind.

  Hi, I have a question. This is not about JW's in particular. I grew up JW and was for 33 years now I am 36 and facing a whole new life. I am in love with a co-worker who everyone says in gay. I believe he is bi. My question..do I have any hope with him? I care of him greatly and according to everything I grew up believing he can change.....but according to what I am learning....he is set. Any feedback is appreciated because I truly care for this guy and he has been great to me and helped my career so much. Thank you for you time!
