  At first I thought this was the Word of Faith church. Their used to be in Texas, major big deal in the 80's. Some scandal happened and they left Texas and moved to Florida.

  I wonder if the Word of Life is similar or if it is a part of the Pentecostal church? They are a very fundy group and crazy enough to do something like what is described in article. They excommunicate folks just like jws. Scary group. They seldom call themselves Pentecostals now due to such bad PR. They go by names like Bible Church , Four Square , and sometimes they call selves nondenominational church's. they are very deceptive in trying to lure folks in, folks who would run the other way if they heard the name Pentecostals.

  only about 5% of women are this type and may have been called "tom boys' since childhood. Bingo.

  My personality has changed a great deal since youth when I was very outgoing and social. The WTS took it all out of me, and now, lets just say learned that ruthless people are in jws too and better protect yourself.

  I clearly recall 1975 and no one dared to say the end was not coming. You'd have been an apostate to say that. I knew it wasn't, the scriptures even say no one knows etc. I must admit that the world conditions now , thanks to 24/7 cable news channels do give one the feeling that some sort of end is upon us. I guess the solution is to stop watching the news.

  So many crazy things were said from the platform, fire breathing sermons about Armageddon. I just blew it off, I knew they were wrong. Strangely I don't feel that sure this time. I am not attending meeting at all --not for some time. Many people in " world" think an end is near too.

  I will take my chances with a loving God and not Jws, So if the apocalyptic angels of death come to my door I will have some lambs blood ( or something similar) smeared on the doorpost. Maybe the angels will just pass by my house. Worked once, might again. :)>

  This woman is being held without bail. Murders and child molesters usually get out on bail.!!! The judge who did this is going to be very sorry he did this STUPID thing. It is one thing to hold an election and remove her from office but in jail without bail? You are freaking kidding me? What is this a country ruled by ISIS ? We are seriously locking up a non dangerous person b/c she won't issue a marriage license to a gay couple? WTF. What next, shall we flog her in the public square? Jesus H Christ.

  What this women has done or not done in her personal life is not relevant. She says she became a reborn Christian about 4 yrs ago. It does not matter how many times she was married, the Bible allows for divorce. If she committed sins, well she asked for forgiveness and she was forgiven. She has not broken the law in her personal life.

  She holds this belief that gay marriage is wrong The gay community is not looking so good here- In fact, they look really bad. They are staring to resemble other known hate groups. This woman is going to come out the winner b/c that judge is an arse -hole and what they are doing is horrible.

  Myself I do not give a shite what anyone does in their bedroom or who they choose to marry. But I would not lock up someone b/c they just would not see it my way.

  Well, I think she should probably just suck it up and do her job, but I am not her.

  The fact that she has been divorced 3 times has nothing to do with anything. The Bible allows for divorce, or so she would tell you.

  .Everyone wants their rights respected unless it is something they hate, like Christians.

  I know the WTS has left a lot of us wounded but the hate on this thread is horrible.

  The courts will deal with her.

  Should a bunch of us gather around her house or the courthose and shout insulting vulgar names at her until she sees the error of her ways?

  It's almost like many would like to shove something down her throat.

  my father was diagnosed with alzheimers disease.. .

  before his dementia grew worse he requested to be baptized in jesus name.. .

  when i see him and hear him talk now it is nothing less than a miracle from god.

  Just about everyone here is in some stage of learning what we call, TTATT( the truth about the truth). Some of us are bitter and angry. Some of us are depressed and some are suicidal, or have other mental issues . Some of us have stunted emotional maturity due to not being allowed to grow up more or less in a normal fashion . Most of us are not used to debating b/c we were not allowed to have any opinions other than " the Watchtower say, Bro. Elder says, or the Governing Body says. So you will see name calling but if you had been around here when this board first started you would not even recognize it. There were out and out flame wars and the board nearly went down in flames a few times. Recovery from a Cult is hard and all of us are at different stages . Plus all of us have different reasons why we left the BORG.

  This is not an organized religion - it is a discussion board by a lot of folks who used to be jws or were married to one or are Bible studies and some who post are still members in good standing in the Borg. So there you have it.

  Franz was a brave honest man who could have faked it in Bethel till he died. But he did not. Most of us really respect him. Live and let live.
