  The Lesson of Martin Luther...

  hey guys.... just felt like posting tonight.. comment or don't comment... but there was a good thought that came to mind tonight for me.. martin luther.... no... not martin luther king, jr.. the martin luther.. and forgive me please if my historical facts aren't 100 percent.. but martin luther went against the catholic church.. he posted the 95 rig-a-ma-role on the church doors.

  basically condeming the sale of indulgence from pope leo.. anyway... martin luther went against the so called "norm" of the day.. but one of the things that i learned from him was his famous quote.... "here i stand.

  god help me.".

  Martin Luther rediscovered the biblical teaching of righteousness by faith and this is the teaching which frightened the Catholic church the most. The teaching says that we are declared righteous and of course if the teaching was acceprted by the RC church many of there teachings would be obsolute. In othere words the rites performed by the church no longer have any power such as the rite of forgiveness and to forgive sins because the beleiver as the bible says can approach the throne of God himself. The official catholic position is that the beleiver is made righteous. Many Catholics today are evangelicals.

  An elder told me that I can give blood here, but not there...

  a few years ago, i was diagnosed with too much iron in my blood.

  most people lack iron, but i have too much.

  with time, this iron lodges in the body, and it's not good.. so, my doctor told me to give blood a few times a year and this problem would be solved.

  JH just tell them to divide youre blood into fractions that are permissable under WT rules after that it isnt your responsible anymore. I dont see how the elders could argue with that.

  during his talk, the circuit overseer asked what kinds of negative information get spread about jehovah's witnesses.

  of course, the question was rheoctorical, the audience didn't answer.

  The Muslims beleive in Jesus too they beleive he will come again at the end of the world. The WT Society actually hides the role of Jesus to its members as much as possible.

  that was done to create a subconscious belief in the reader of divine authorship.

  the watchtower is written by the fds and they are god's only channel of communication.

  Gday Yaddayadda,

  Im an SDA and the real reason we have information about the authors of our magazines is so we dont waste valuable time reading the articals of people that are teaching heresy in our magazines. If they teach heresy once, likely they will push their point of view again. Thats where the WT society is very tricky in being anonymous. Barry

  in an unprecedented case, an irish judge overruled an adult woman jehovah's witness objection to blood transfusions.

  in the past, only children had been forced to have transfusions where deemed necessary.

  when the story first broke out, there were several ambiguities and questions unanswered.

  I would suggest the hospital should remove the offending blood from the womens body taking the exact amount.

  most people would agree that a religion that resorts to terrorism is damaging.

  most here would also agree that the wts is a damaging religion.

  I remember at the SDAs a top delegate held a meeting and admitted SDAs have in the past used the scarey bits in the book of revelation. Many religions are guilty of this. While SDAs dont have an everlasting hell the scare mongering can still be acheived.

  i beleive doctrine has a big part to play in reguard to guilt just like the Roman Catholics the traditional Adventists have used this method to the detriment of their members. As I recall the reformation was all about how a person would be saved by God. Is a person saved by works and is it possible for anyone to be saved if it is by works? This proposition results in an impossible task for anyone and results in a life of not knowing if they are accepted by God. Imagine not knowing if you are a child of God because youre acceptance is based on you being perfect. It is a terrible way to live.

  Therefore good religion is based on good doctrine the doctrine of the reformation that we are saved reguardless of our keeping of the commandmants.

  Are the 'dead conscious of nothing?'

  if, as quoted in ecclesiastes, 'the dead are conscious of nothing....', then how come they cannot be separated from god's love.

  (as mentioned in another scripture which my ass is too lazy to get up and look up)?.

  supposedly, the dead are non existent according to the sadduceic interpretion, so how can they 'feel the love?

  The SDAs have the same doctrine as the JWs on this doctrine. In SDA lingo it it is called the doctrine of the stste of the dead. Funny how both churches use the same proof text method and ignore the history of the Saducees and Pharasees in their interpretation.

  I once wondered how anyone could beleive any different but i have printed this out to show some church members.Thanks everyone including Leolaia and Narkissos

  Muslims demonstrate that they are not violent by firebombing churches

  as i said in another post: actions speak louder than words.

  muslims were angered by the pope's quoting a 14th century writer who said that muslims are violent in nature.. in order to disprove this statement many muslims took too the streets shouting violent slogans and burned an effigy of the pope.

  still more muslims demonstrated that they are not violent by firebombing random churches.. yup... actions speak louder than words.

  The Catholic Archbishop in Sydney has announced that the actions by muslims proves the correctness of the quote by the Pope.

  Some Muslim leaders have gone on record and said the Muslim community does have a problem.

  I beleive the straight talking political leaders in Australia may have had an influence on more moderate muslims here in Australia.

  Is some of the problems with the Muslim people actually caused by the BS political correctness.? And to many Muslim people isnt Political correctness just confusing to them?

  I propose the best solution is one of honesty and they have to accept what we say, while we have to accept their opinions without threats or violence.

  i`ve looked at them all,plasma,rear projection lcd,dlp..the nicest picture i`ve seen to date,is the 62"hitachi rear projection lcd..unfriggin believable!

  !..it was beautiful..cost:$2999.99..any suggestions on big screen tv`s with a remarkable picture?...outlaw

  Ive got a plasma Ive heard lcd is only good for computer screens or smaller tvs. Ive alsoseen some lcds that leave a shadow with any fast moveing objects

  i bought the daily telgraph today and in the political cartoon section there is the heading 'who will pass the true blue test.. you see australia is very lax with immigrants and now wants them to learn english and to learn about australian values.. in the telegraph we have two arab men doing the test.the second arab is the aussie one.. first arab "stone the infidels ' second arab 'stone the crows'.

  first arab 'strike the unworthy' second arab'strike me lucky'.

  frist arab 'blow me up'.

  you see Australia is very lax with immigrants and now wants them to learn english and to learn about Australian values.

  In the Telegraph we have two Arab men doing the test.The second Arab is the Aussie one.

  First Arab "stone the infidels ' Second Arab 'Stone the crows'

  First Arab 'Strike the unworthy' Second Arab'Strike me lucky'

  Frist Arab 'Blow me up'. Second Arab 'Blow me down'

  First Arab 'Tremble when I shout'. Second Arab '"your shout? you beauty, sport?

  Seems like its not going to be too difficult to teach these people to become Aussies just a slight re adjustement.
