i don't know if anyone has talked about this yet, forgive me if they have.
but i am just so, so sad that yet more innocent lives have been so brutally taken.
we've now had three attacks in three months and there has been countless terror attacks stopped by the police.. my jw acquaintances see these attacks as proof the end is near.
Ive heard people say for e.g. 'your more likely to die from a falling fridge than a terrorist attack.
My answer to that is these people have the ambition to kill as many as possible. What if a nuclear dirty bomb was made by ISIS and taken to Europe because ISIS has nuclear material they stole from a Mosel university and exploded it over London. Anthrax or another biological weapon was used and it killed millions. How would the so called experts spin that?
Already 3000 were killed at 9/11 .

after a number of explosions police attended and a gunfight resulted in the terrorist being shot dead the women was not harmed and two officers were shot with slight injuries.

All police in Australia are armed they have Glock pistols and we don't have a problem. I have a book on archery and an archery club challenged the police to a contest between pistols and bows guess who won. The Archers of course.

Love is putting these animals out of action so the rest of us are safe and out loved ones are safe. Love is not tolerance toward criminals enabling them to carryout more atrocities

just though i'd start a thread devoted to languages, dialects/sociolects and accents, with the idea being that posters can comment on any language, or dialect or accent of any language, on this thread.. any phrases, expressions or idioms that you find interesting are also welcome.
first, the subject of english accents came up on another thread.. the british isles have many different types of accent (although many of the dialects may be dying out), and if i start to take a closer look, i can't help but see 'patterns' .... in received pronunciation of standard english, the letter r is pronounced initially, between vowels, and after consonants, e.g.
red, arrow, break.
I went to the states about 30 years ago where in San Francisco I met a Canadian couple and they thought i was a POME [Prisoner of mother England]. I then travelled down to Los Angeles And stayed with some Americans that had invited me over when I had met them in Europe the year before. I remember driving down the road with this cute American girl and I never forgot. She said 'I don't care what you say just keep talking to me I love the sound of your voice. I'm Australian.
