If You Criticize A Person of Color Are You A Racist?
by minimus inseriously, it’s getting to a point that you can’t make a negative comment about someone without being charged as a racist, homophobe or sexist!
if you criticize a female, you are obviously sexist.
if you criticize someone who happens to be gay, you must hate homosexuals.

Sorry I didn't know the term "coloured people " was offensive. The problem acceptable terms change all the time. Here in Australia the aboriginal people preferred Coloured over black in fact at one time it was racist to call a black sheep black.

The accusation of racism is a very lazy term used to shut up an opponent and give a sense of virtue to the accuser. After all who would want to be a racist and the accusation is usually against a caucasian.
The term Caucasian is originally from a group of mountains in the caucasus but has come to mean a race of people with white skin. In the US v Bhagat Sing Thind 1923 the supreme court argued that although asians indians were technically caucasian they could not be US citizens because they were't white. That decision was reversed in 1946.
Many coloured people don't realise they may be Caucasian such as Indians even though they are very black also Arabs Lebanese, northern African peoples mediteranian peoples such as Greeks, Italians, Syrians are all Caucasian.
I don't know if you are racist if you criticise your own race but the coloured people should check first or they may look foolish.

Ill be going to Arizona at the end of July for a couple of weeks and will be driving there. I thought I may put a sign on the car saying something to the effect 'Australian driver " so the police and other drivers may be more forgiving. Is this a good idea?

I'm an ex Adventist born in, now an Anglican. I would say the items in the book by Dale Razcliff have not been used in my lifetime to discipline members.
I can agree with some of Dale's theology but I believe he overstepped with saying the church uses those tactics today. There are theological issues I would have a problem with and had a problem with when I was a member and I can say I wasn't backward in expressing those opinions such as Historicism the belief in the day =year and the historical implications. Also the investigative judgment issue the only SDA contribution to theology.
I have raised these issues many time in church bible study meetings and have never been disciplined. I do respect the SDAs for there tolerance but then there are many divisions and it would be impossible to control such a diverse range of opinions.
Some Advents don't believe the trinity and support ministries that agree with there stands on this , There is a group which are perfectionists called the LGT [last generation theology ] which I believe the president of the General conference is a member, There is the Concerned brethren group who which believe in going to war and retain many of the original doctrines, the liberals in the SDAs believe in womens ordination and don't believe in going to war, many are evangelicals and believe very much the same as evangelicals as in other denominations.
My list could go on but is an example of the large tent of SDA opinions .

Interesting observations at an SDA church
by joe134cd ini’ve just attended a sda church service today.
i have to say the attendance was similar to what i would expect to see in a jw service.
the style and nature of the service was also very jwish (formal, drab and boring).

https://youtu.be/P4mS85Vbvks This is from 'The road to Wellville ' and Dr John Harvey Kellogg a prominent SDA and close friend of Ellen White. Kellogg founded the SDA Sanitoriums and introduced many crazy medical treatments. This video may explain why Ellen White was so against bicycle riding
