I'm sorry. I meant according to the WTS how do the remnant die?
Peace
according to the "new" light of the wts some of the "remant" will still be alive when armageddon breaks out.. on page 352 of the book "you may survive armegeddon onto god's new world" it says that the remnant has to die so they can be resurrected with a "sprirual body".. .
this sounds like yet another doctrinal discrepancy to me.. .

this is somthing the gb likes to assert.
but they ignore the many atheists in the world as they do so.
i have been coming more and more to terms with the fact that i don't blieve there is a god out there, gradually i am accepting this..
"Every atheist I know reveals his/her spiritual (for lack of a better word) nature from time to time. We've just had a hard time discovering the source so far."
While listening to a debate between a believer and an atheist, the atheist was startled by something and said "Oh my God".
So, there you go.
Peace
hey folks a little help.
i seem to remember when i was younger reading an article talking about people who probably wouldn't be resurrected, those who turned their back on jehovah being the primary example.
i can't find the article to cite though, does anyone here know which article mentioned this?.
I found this on the net. You need a program to keep up!
Changed in the Watchtower 1952 June 1st as quoted above. See also
And in Revelation 22 it says that the throne of God and Christ (note, one throne) will be in the new city and They shall reign for ever and ever.
Now if the throne of God and Christ is in the new city and the new city is on the new earth and God and Christ will reign from that thorne for ever and ever, sounds to me like the new earth IS heaven.
Peace

"Because Abraham and the beggar of Luke 16 are seen in Paradise before Jesus' sacrifice. "
The sacrifice of Christ is so powerful that it saved people before it even happened.
Why do you bind God to time?
God is not bound by His own creation.

James 2:24
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
The man with true faith. live faith, will have works.
The Man with false faith, dead faith, does not have works.
If you read the whole chapter I think you will see that James is trying to point that out.
" 25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."
So, faith without works is no faith at all. The works don't save you. The works just show that you do have saving faith. Not just dead faith.

"Do you have a thought you'd like to contribute?"
I think the verses say it all.
My salvation does not depend on me. If were up to me to chose God, I wouldn't.
Since the fall, man can only run from, not toward God.
Man's heart has to be changed for man to want God.
My heart was changed but it was not my doing, but God's.

17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, For this very purpose did I raise thee up, that I might show in thee my power, and that my name might be published abroad in all the earth.
18 So then he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will be hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he still find fault? For who withstandeth his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why didst thou make me thus?
21 Or hath not the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?

15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that hath mercy.
